  1. Crankbait and a dropshot
  2. Colorado changed its draw to where somebody with less than max points can draw some of the limited hunts. I did like what I saw there. Yea outside of being able to hunt moose or caribou I’m pretty lucky to have everything else available to hunt in state.
  3. I’m pretty sure it’s going to depend on the length, power, and what you intend on using the rod for. Might look into similar rods and see the spacing on those. Somebody with more experience will hopefully chime in to help you more!! Good luck with the build!
  4. Best tasting game hands down is oryx for me. Antelope was pretty good though. I feel for non residents applying out here outfitters and certain sportsman groups are making it harder and harder for diy hunters
  5. I put in for mule deer here in nm. Don’t have the time in oct or sept to chase a bull, I miss it though. Where in CO did you apply?
  6. @Catt did I read that correctly that all females were bred back to the same male? How was this done? Not questioning your info but are they using a.i. Or spawning I guess? The time frame needed for those 5 females to grow one bucks life span went that long?
  7. I hunt and use scent in the same sense I use odor elemenating products. To help mask myself. Though they are not fool proof and catch all they may help to provide an opportunity had I not used them. They do not replace the need to have accurate cast, using the method that aligns with the fish activity or stealth.
  8. Strike king square bills, 3xd and 6xd have all caught smallies for for me and seem to produce just about anywhere. Give em a try
  9. To all that have chimed in or asked another question, you have in no way hijacked the thread. This is what I love about this site and community people sharing info to make others successful and build the conversation as we go!! @JustJames were talking about trebles brother ask always!! If I had a feathered I deft would try it. As far as effects to bouyancy or if it kills the action I don’t know. Maybe @A-Jay will chime back in. Excellent conversation to this point!
  10. Hmmmmm I’m might not take that advice and see if I can’t find “ big momma”!!!! ?
  11. @A-Jay thanks I know you fish these and was hoping you’d chime in!!
  12. Ok cool that’s what I was wondering. I’ve read that trying to fish to heavy of an application will eat this reel up is that your experience? I’m thinking I’ll use them with plastics and jigs up to 3/4 oz?
  13. I need to replace the hooks on a vision 110 jr, can anyone tell me the size I should go with and hook recommendation
  14. The best way I’ve found is to research the bait. If I’m standing in a shop and can’t figure it out, bless the technology gods and google it. Some lures do you the rattles as weight but not always true as @WRB eleduded to with silent balsa/cedar baits. Hope this helps
  15. Another thing to do would by the anti rust inserts for you Plano’s. This has saved a ton of hooks for me. Trash bag is the cheapest most efficient way I’ve found.
  16. @NYWayfarer Just wondering I took two off a buddy for $40 in your opinion worth it or not? Mine are both the plus 7.1:1
  17. Can any one tell me anything about theses
  18. Hanselman Hackney J Pow Lowen Benton some reason these guys stuck out to me so I picked them.
  19. @wisconsin heat those are the ones you pull off a bed don’t ya know.... hahaha yea iPhones are great for thinking they know what you want to say hahahahaha, that’s supposed to be # of live fish. Smh
  20. Only thing I would say is to see if you can’t put it together in store to see how it balances. I have an ltb by St. Croix love the rod, it is tip heavy though but personally I don’t mind it.
  21. Try a yo yo approach and see if maybe they will eat it better that way. Has worked for me in the past.
  22. It’s easy to do. Columns should include, name, # of fish, # of love fish, weight, and big bass column. Unless your going to use a computer at weigh-in don’t worry about formatting it to try to update as you enter weights. We use two people and a pencil to enter the weights.
  23. @Delaware Valley Tackle Is there any place you can recommend I call to order these parts? BPS isn’t answering or returning a phone call. And yes I want to replace the worm gear as well.
  24. Need to know if this is toast or not. It’s for a bps pro qualifier gen 1. If so where can I order one?
