  1. @Delaware Valley Tackle I would need two kits.
  2. So I was wondering if it possible to upgrade the drag on a reel? I have so BPS Pro Qualifiers and wondering if there is anything I can do to upgrade/increase the amount of drag the reel can produce. Thanks in advance.
  3. I think you really should break this up into two different post. Explain in more detail about the bodies of water you are fish, such as structure, cover, water clarity that you are fishing. There are people more experienced on here that can chime in when you give them that info. Good luck with your new techniques.
  4. I don’t think you should worry either or allow the fact they may test to limit the tourneys you enter. Fish your strengths and have fun. If you ever popped a random explain your condition before they start the test and hopefully they take it into account. You have come this far without it limiting don’t let this discourage or stop you from doing. Go out and stick em, hell you never know there might be some young kid who struggles with this and you could make a positive impact for them. I say do it.
  5. thanks for the explanation. I was imagining something different. ??
  6. Caught my first one at Apache lake, rapala crankbait, craw pattern, zebco spincast combo. 1993
  7. I’m interested can you all expand on the topic?? I haven’t heard of this before.
  8. Not a fishing guide, but spent time guiding hunters. Not only do good guides put in all the effort during the trip there are countless days of staying on top of the quarry which results in wear and tear on gear, fuel and such. I never expected a client to tip, never discussed it with a client as well. If they tipped great and If not I didn’t hold it against them. Some folks save up for a trip of a lifetime for years and the last thing I expected was for them to feel obligated to tip me. I say do what you feel is right and the 10-20% is spot on.
  9. @Bluebasser86 nice fish can’t wait to throw some of those spinner baits around here. Nice fish!
  10. Hey if you haven’t had any luck, try looking up the Iowa bass nation federation. They should have links to all clubs within the state.
  11. Awesome man!! I know the thrill your speaking of. Winning from the back of the boat can be tough to do and sounds like you had a good boater to help make it possible. Nice fish as well. Good luck going forward.
  12. @HeyCoach prayers are with your father in law and your family. I hope he makes a full recovery and afterwards you can enjoy some time on or near the water.
  13. Nice catch what part of the state are you in?
  14. Another way to fish it would be with long rod sweeps picking up slack as you go back to the bait. You won’t achive max depth, the pause and slow rise sometimes is killer for me.
  15. @scaleface @Jrob78Yep sorry MLF. Smart phones aren’t so smart. I had heard rumor they were going to do away with having to fish the whole series but don’t know what happened to that.
  16. Saw there is 5 from mild fishing it. Did they start back the win and your in?
  17. Not positive but I’m guessing they follow the nature or stripers more, so maybe looking into those tactics. Sounds like you did well last year I would take that knowledge and build on it as well. good luck in your hunt!
  18. Good luck rip some lip
  19. I think most of it has been hit so far... but, are your club tourneys draw or do you get to pick your boater? The reason i ask is if you can pick your boater you will know way in advance who your fishing with and ask them where they plan to fish, shallow or deep. This way you don’t show up and your boater is bed fishing and all you have are your swimbaits and such. But if it’s draw you will have to adjust quickly to get set up. I think you can fish your big baits, I just think you’ll be limited more than you hoped. Welcome to toureny fishing though its a blast!!
  20. That’s nationwide and online as well. Believe it’s the special edition only with the blue accents?
  21. I e done well with green pumpkin, real Shad and smoke with black flake. Those are about the only color I throw for and presentation.
  22. You don’t need a weight to fish a 5” senko wacky under most circumstances. Your rod will cast it just fine. i use a weight when wind, current or depth push me that way. I would say avoid using the weight unless this becomes a problem. Also you can order weights from just about anywhere. But in a pinch use a split shot and put it as close to the hook eye as possible.
  23. Bust cherry yelas and fussy all flopped two fishing tomorrow. Smh that really hurt
  24. @J.Vincent might want to check your spam or junk folder and see if your reminders are going there
  25. Crankbait dropshot t rigged senko or twin tail grub unless it it’s 55 degree water or higher then a topwater as well
