Hello everyone, been away for quite a while because I'm really busy with work and school, but I've been looking at programs for wildlife technology because that is what I want to peruse but I have not found any colleges in California that have a direct program like that, I was wondering if any California biologists on here or anyone who works within the department of fish and wildlife could give me a couple pointers on how to peruse such a career in California. ( would love to be a wildlife technician thats what I really want to do, if all else fails I still have a plan to pressure Colorado for the program they offer)

I will definitely take another look into everything and possibly just exchange for a more quality rod and feel or see what suits best, I would like an all purpose rod if that's possible? Got trout and bass and stripers, would love to find a rod of some kind to suit that type of fishing like I said I know nothing about fly fishing so we will see.. Thanks bud

This is the rod I purchased ignore the website and other adds for some reason I could not find it on BPS website but has anyone seen or bought this rod... Should I take it back and just a buy a rod and reel?

Hey everyone, BPS had a really good sale today so I thought why not go there and not even thinking about it I ended up with a white river silver Doctor fly rod set up, now I know for some this is probably a super cheap setup but as for me I've never fly fished in my life I thought why not get a great deal on a combo and case... I know nothing really about fly fishing and was wondering if you guys could give tips on certain knots and fishing line and leader line... As I am new, what brands are all around best for beginners. The cheapest and most conveinent advice helps, I would appreciate it guys... By the way got really good outdoor gear thanks to your guys advice thanks so much!

What about the brand redhead? Isn't that the house store brand from BPS all they're hunting gear seems to be somewhat on sale as I figure hunting gear would most likely keep you warm as well right? Depending where you hunt of course but I just need clothing that will keep me warm for harsh weather climates.

Just to curious because the closest outdoor sports store is BPS, and we all k ow how pricey they could be... Well I'm tired of wearing regular clothes when I go outdoors such as fishing especially in the winter, I want to start buying warm reliable outdoor weather ckothes... Thing is right now I have about a couple hundred to spend, I was thinking boots and a jacket first and foremost but could you guys let me know what you would recommend when you're outdoors in the harsh weather as it's always good to be prepared and what brands you recommend so that way I know I could possibly save money? Just start throwing things out there guysplease and thank you.

what would you recommend for finding a job, because if i get a job out here theres no guarantee they'll transfer me i don't want to be assuming things so I'm taking everything as worse case scenario, but anyway if i couldn't find a job that transfers or i can't just get one for whatever reason what would be best just wait till i can actually afford to move there?

Yes that's true, but if I end up moving I don't want to restart my whole community college all over again, I want my credits from community college to lead into another so I'm not behind and have to restart ... But I shall call... Also Colorados minimum wage isn't that high compared to other states like California but the cost of living is cheaper which helps and evens out, but I figured a roommate helps extremely in Thai type of situation with everything being split

Would you know how community college credits transfer to one another? I'm a freshman taking a couple classes but if I do end up moving and switch to front range community college in Fort Collins, do I completely have to restart?i know how community to csu works but from community college to another I dont...

See and that's the thing I don't want to wait till my late 20s or 30s to go to college, it's an important aspect in my life right now and of course it will be a struggle but it will pay off in the long run... My plan was to attend and continue my education at the community college and then transfer once I get all my credits into CSU Colorado, I just want to move and establish myself in a different state California isn't the one for me

As I mentioned before I didn't get the job for a seasonal aid for fish and wildlife it was a job for experience and cash considering I'm 18 wanting to to further advance my opportunity in that department later on in life somehow... But from just thinking and learning that I'm even lucky to have this job only because it's a must need job (Sara lee and natures own merchandiser) I want to move on from the high desert and California itself... I know in 18 and I'm still young but California isn't the state for me there's no opuurtinity or jobs where I live and I can't afford to live in California... My plan is to start new and move to Fort Collins Colorado but also attend school there and start my life... I know all this is just coming from an 18 which some consider to be an age of stupid decisions... And yes I've thought about my family but it's also about me and in order to succeed in life you gotta move on but doesn't mean I'll never stop caring for them or anything like that in always a phone call and flight away in case of emergency , I've calculated and estimated what expenses would be (With a roommate of course) and I would still have extra cash to pocket and save up.... I would like to get people's opinions and if possible experiences on how this could work and how it worked for you guys please and thank you have a wonderful day. (:

My Broncos look impressive, still a big question mark on the line and how they'll protect manning. But overall defense looks solid and from what I've seen the offense for now looks pretty solid as well, yet again this is only preseason so we shall wait till week 1 of regular season to see how everything pays off. Go Broncos!

Turns out I didn't even get the job the seasonal aid was already hired, I called just recently...): I thought they'd at least email me or call me to inform me I wasn't the right candida or something but nothing... Oh well :/
