  1. Vmc drop dead hook is the best ive ever used for a fluke
  2. I agree, i does not affect its performance. But it would bother me a lot everytime i saw it like that
  3. Wow thats bad, kind of glad i havent bought any kastking products
  4. Yes daiwa makes awesome products, i own plenty myself. The aird x is just not one of them. In my opinion. I love my mg and saltist reels
  5. Id skip the the airdx, i ordered 2 because of the awesome reviews it has on here. Im very dissapointed, it fished one power down, the reel seat gets loose everycast, its very whippy etc. Its a $50 rod for a reason. Its also not very sensative at all, i use braid so that helps a bit. I believe they get such reviews because 1. Its a daiwa and theres a huge bandwagon right now 2. Its a very good looking rod And 3. Its not a shimano. Its the only daiwa product i have ever been dissapointed by.
  6. If its going to be a mh than the mach2 is fine. For a heavy go to the tp1. Tp1 is very sensative and light. Mach2 is a little heavier but still sensative enough. Id put it up against any $100 rod, i really like my 7ft medium heavy
  7. Do it, but keep lower end tackle in the car. Here in texas it gets HOT. I wouldnt leave a higher end rod in my car
  8. Which diawa dx would you buy for 8 inch hudds? Xh or xxh?
  9. Its not that bad since the rod is 7'. It would feel very unbalanced if it was 6'6
  10. If you need a weighted hook, the vmc drop dead hooks are the best senko/fluke hooks ive ever used
  11. Find it on ebay. The coupon works on ebay only
  12. Falcon is a sleeper for sure, ive had a couple and they are great
  13. I agree, theres nothing like my fishing partner hearing my drag and rolling his eyes?
  14. At those prices id get a zodias. But talking about dobyms, the sierra is sensative enough. Specially if using braid
  15. Quantum rods, lews mach2 rods, falcon bucoos, shimano exage all are great. I have a skeet reese cranking rod and i gotta admit i love it
  16. For what you need id get a sienna, i bought one last year. Use it a lot and honestly its been great
  17. I bought some after reading all the praise they get. After fishing them for a couple outins im a little dissapointed. The blanks are weak, my MH feels like a medium, my medium is more like a ml. A 5lb fish really tested the rod, felt like it was gonna snap. And the reel seat screw turns loose really fast. I have remember to tighten it every couple casts. They are not bad rods but they retail for $55 and i think its a fair price for them. The lews mach2 rod it replaced was miles better
  18. Medium heavy for sure, especially with the fat ika
  19. Thats crazy, never thought a fish would be that picky. Maybe you presented it better? Maybe you fished it slower or faster than your boater? Either way thats awesome. I went fiahing with my nephew yesterday. I tied on a neko rig and tied my nephews rod with a chartreuse lizard, he liked the color so thats what i tied on. The water was cristal clear and i didnt think he was gonna catch a fish. He outfished me lol
  20. Yea go to freight harbor and buy some screws or nails. Thats what i do
  21. I bought 3 daiwa aird x and 3 daiwa bg 3000 for $200 this week. Using coupons and my son in laws employee discount lol. I love the reels, i dont know about the rods yet. The medium heavy feels weak, no power. Im kind of dissapointed in the aird x... ill stop before i go on a rant
