  1. Id say atleast 40lb braid
  2. I have spyderwire sinking braid with a flouro leader on one of my rods. Its some good stuff. I love that combo for plastics
  3. Lol at the guy who made the snap comment. Made my day
  4. $20 max via usps. Usually costs me around 15
  5. That limited edition pflueger president looks classy
  6. 15lb braid with a 6# leader and your set. My exact finesse setup
  7. I dont look at matching colors but i always match brands on reels and rods and most of the time they end up matching in color. For example my crucial rod matches the symetre on it perfectly and my zodias rods match my ci4+ stradic perfect too
  8. Ive tried it plenty times, i never saw a difference. But i was always a skeptic. Maybe i should give it one more shot
  9. Thats exactly what happened. Guy that works there told me that they didnt receive the inventory by the set date so they will be released later. What rod would you guys put it on?
  10. I like my 7ft falcon bucoo medium. It actually performs more like a ml. I love it
  11. I use 15lb or 10lb, id use 15 theres not much of a difference in diameter
  12. So is it pretty much like nanofil? I like nanofil but everytime i retie i have to cutoff a couple feet that becomes frayed
  13. Anywere in between 6'10 and 7'1 would be fine just depends on were you are fishing
  14. I use a ultra light but a ML will probably suit you best. I mostly fish finnesse and i prefer ml or ul because you can bomb a small fluke or worm a real long way. And ive never had a problem setting the hook. I use 10lb nanofil on a 6lb sniper leader and i watch my line at all times
  15. Just talked to the guys a pflueger, they sold out fast. But they will be back in stock a *** in the next week or so. Ive been waiting for this
  16. My favorite rod i own is a crucial but absolutely hate the keeper. I was pitchin into some cover with straight braid, it got in the keeper and when i set the hook the tip snapped off because the drag wasnt able to engage to dampen the hook set. Thanks for the info i might remove it
  17. I have sniper on all my set ups. I tried red label once and found that i had many unexplained break offs. Then i notices i had a bad spool. Every 5 feet or so it had small nicks. I never tried red label again. Last week i bought a 10lb spool of sniper and its also bad. Frustrating
  18. Yeah, my MH crucial feels for like a heavy. I always end up using it for frogs. Still a great rod
  19. Spray wd40 into were the peices meet. Then grab the top part by the guide and try to twist it. Be careful and dont bend the guide but youll get it
  20. Yes a medium light is what you need. For weightless plastics on smaller line
  21. I could be wrong, my buddy only caught one fish using 10lb line. It could be a more nutural fall of the lure on smaller line
  22. Yeah 4 is pushing it, but when i was fighting a 4 pounder earlier i never felt my line nearing its breaking point. My drag was set loose enough that during the whole fight the fish was taking in drag. Idk about 4 lol i was thinking either 6 or 7 sniper
  23. Montanaro you could be correct, but i meant to say that dropping down in line size had a good effect on my fishing. Im thinking of buying some 6 pound sniper. Its gonna be hard to drop my ultralight now
  24. Shimanos are always great, ive been using a cabelas tourney trail thatis really light weight and very sensitive. I love it
  25. This morning i found myself at cabelas looking for some tubes. The bait monkey made me buy a pflueger president ultralight rod and reel combo. So i had to go test it out. I put on some 10lb nanofil and a 6 pound mono leader, grabbed some small tubes, 3 inch senkos and some flukes. I went to creek that has been out fished and is real hard to catch anything. As soon as i started fishing i start catching fish left and right. It was crazy they were hitting the flukes on the fall. The past few weeks if be using the same lures but on 10lb line and couldnt buy a bite. I credit the 6lb line for todays success. I used to never fish under 10lb line. I ended up catching 8 fish in 40 minutes and lost a 4lbder that i have caught before because i had no way of lifting him up out of the water over some rocks. My line was gonna break and before i could make my way down there he spit the hook. Anyways im now a beleiver in line visibility. And ultra lights are fun!
