Thats a very nice reel, i wouldnt put it on any regular ol rod. Personally id get shimano or falcon rod. As for power and action just depends on what wieght lures you will be throwing. For all around get a mh-f or m-xf
One of my co-workers likes to fish for carp. He gets a small octopus hook and wraps it in aluminum foil. And thats it, he slays them everytime. I think the sub rays hit the foil and make it iluminate. Making it interesting for fish. Hes caught bass and catfish that way too
Im mexican, i was always taught to keep everything and at the end of the day we used to celebrate by cooking the fish and having a nice meal. Exept bass, i was alwqys told that bass wqs no good for eating. To many bones lol. I guess my uncle taught me good. And all the fish we kept were legal size. We didnt want to risk our fishing priveledges
I work 7 days a week and have a family to go to after work. I still make time to fish. Even if i have to sacrifice some sleep hours. I see fishing as the thing that keeps me sane
Ive thrown frogs, jigs, texas rigs, cranks and spinnerbaits on the cranker spin lol works great for me. I love the rod. I imagine a medium fast would be even more perfect. I love the parabolic bend on a medium moderate rod. Seems like i can keep pressure on the fish a little better
If i did it all over again i would not have sold off my shimano crucials to buy my zodias rods. Both are great rods but i like the crucials better.
Thats the only thing id change.
Oh and i wouldnt of bought so many baitcasters. The type of fishing i do is mostly done with spinning gear
I never noticed they dont make a 7ft medium fast. Thats odd that they dont make one. That would be a near perfect rod considering my 7ft medium moderate bucoo
I just checked my rod, your right. My medium fast is a 6'6 and my 7ft is called the cranker spin and does not say if its moderate or fast. The 7ft is my favorite rod i own. It takes a beating.
Get the ugly stick elite combos. I fish saltwater and freshwater and i dont have any complaints. Not that sensitive but great rods and will last for years
None is better than the other. Both do the job just fine. I use casting for texas, frogs, spinners and anything with a weight.
Spinning for weightless rigs, drop shot, inline spinners, and anything finesse
