  1. I have another friend that i go fishing with, he taught me everything i know. Hes probably the best fisherman ive ever met, but he has one thing that bother me a lot. Whenever im catching fish and hes not he starts to loose it and he always want to quit early making excuses. I still love to fish with him because i learn a lot but he has to learn that hes not always gonna be catching more
  2. I used to have "that friend", I would take him fishing to my secret spots. Then one time i was out on vacation and he decided to take someone he met to my spots. Its a public park now
  3. For 3 rods id get 1. Medium heavy- fast 7ft 2. Medium moderate 7 ft 3. Medium light fast 6'8 Covers most tecniques
  4. Meant to say tackle-whouse backpack
  5. Just dont buy a *** backpack. Quality is crap. Lasted me 2 weeks. I now use a adidas soccer backpack. Hold 4 big boxes and i use the ball storage compartment for all my plastic bags
  6. Just dont buy a *** backpack. Quality is crap. Lasted me 2 weeks. I now use a adidas soccer backpack. Hold 4 big boxes and i use the ball storage compartment for all my plastic bags
  7. At one of the rivers i fish ive caught the same 6lbder many times. Im glad people have released her. And then an ******* caught her on live bait and took her to eat. Sad story
  8. Thats when i usually pull out a bleeding shad imitation or jerkbait. Sometimes theyll go for an easy meal instead of chasing for a meal. Those shad and bluegill are quick ive seen them outrun bass many times
  9. Nice, you doing any fishing in mexico?
  10. My home town got hit hard. But no casualties kown as of today. Ill know more tomorrow when i call moms again
  11. Montanaro-So we cant express our poing of views? I see it slightly diffrent, i dont think the sight line is the same coming from a persons view and coming from a fish view. Not because we cant see them means they cant see us. But i may be completely wrong. Just my point of view. Bigbill thanks for the tips and good threads, always something intresting in your posts. Keep it up. No disrespect
  12. Like catchandgrease said, i think depth in general is what we should be worried about
  13. Ive actually had tons of fish follow and take my lure on top of the "sight line". I understand 100% what you are trying to say but i dont think it has a big effect on our fishing. Or at least i havent noticed it in my fishing.
  14. Ive had a couple, my favorite is a 7ft medium moderate falcon bucoo. Its a really great rod.
  15. Also, a symetre at a good price is killer. But yeah if its cheaper than id say a fj since they are very similar
  16. On jigs, you usually get a pretty nice thump when a fish inhales it. I instantly go for the hookset since jigs are pretty compact. I dont feel like i miss bites. Jigs have some of the best bites/hook up ratios of all the lures
  17. Theres something about that ci4+. I own 3 and love them.
  18. I use a 6'6 medium heavy falcon bucoo. Handles anything topwater and i also ise it for jigs and spinner baits. Pretty verstile and at a good price. I own 6 of them
  19. Ive heard tatulas are awesome. Power just depends on the weight you are goin to be using
  20. I recomend a falcon bucoo heavy-fast. But there are a lot of good rods at that price. Everyone recommends *** blacks in 3.2.1
  21. Its been the same for me, my only way of catching fish the last few days has been topwater
  22. For reels i like to have variety. But for rods i awalys buy the same brand. That way i have all my techniques covered because some companies see power and action differently than others. For example my falcon MH feels more like a medium compares to my shimano MH. I bought a falcon medium heavy and a shimano medium. They ended up being pretty much the same.
