  1. I have 4 daiwa revros, they are awsome for $50. I really recommend them
  2. Either one works, id do 3000 just for weight. I fish 4000 size for my mh and heavy rods
  3. I do that a lot, mostly because i fish real slow and like having slack in my line so the bait can move naturally. I line watch.
  4. C'mon son
  5. For cheap cheap Lightning rod shock or aird x 7ft heavy
  6. Aird x rod would be a cheap option if you end up not liking casting gear you wouldnt be out too much money
  7. Just make sure the guides are straight, i saw some at cabelas and on about half of them the first guide was off
  8. I fish all spinning gear, i catch just as many fish as all my friends. Its the indian but there are ways to make the odds better, braid for me is a necessity to be able to use spinning gear for everything. Back on topic, pros are pros. Even if you just give them a pack of senkos, once they use the electronics to find fish they will catch them no matter whats tied on the line. Catching them is the easy part. Finding them is the hard part. I have no doubt googan baits probably catch fish, but at that price there plenty baits that do the samething at a cheaper price
  9. I use a shimano sienna 1000 and my inlines turn just fine, i use 10lb power pro with no problems. Although for ul i prefer berkley nanofil. Eitherway something is wrong with your line or lures, i dont think its the reel
  10. Dont over think it, just buy a spinning reel. You can choose what side to have the handle on
  11. You need a falcon rod, medium or medium heavy depending on baits you plan to throw. Falcon uses a moderate fast blank on most their rods wich is perfect for what you need. The bucoo series arw excellent rods. They are exactly what you need
  12. Lol thats me exept you can leave out the wacky
  13. Get her a aird x medium heavy and a 3000 revros. Trust me
  14. Thats dobyns sierra rod is the bomb. I have one and its perfect for jigs and frogs
  15. You could get her a daiwa aird x mh and a daiwa revros reel. $100 combo that fishes way above its price
  16. Me and some friends are kicking around the idea of doing a small jon boat tournament on walter e long lake during the summer. 16 ft max, just for some fun. Maybe $20 entry first 3 places take all. We are just getting ideas now, if anyone is interested pm me.
  17. At that price keep both
  18. I have never had a dobyns, but i have had plenty falcons and they are fantastic rods, i dont think i can say anything bad about mine. I especially like the bucoo spinning rods
  19. Airdx for cheaper, but between those 2 i had a clarus and was not impressed.
  20. Shimano zodias is a great rod also
  21. The walmart berkley solutions braid is really good, i was broke and bought it because it was cheap but its bee just as good as any braid
  22. Get the mh, the rod is overrated. Theres no way it can handle 1oz baits. Its a great rod though
  23. Up your budget a little bit and you can get a airdx medium light or medium rod and a revros 2500. $100 combo that feels like a more expensive combo. I have 4 of those combos and they are awesome
  24. I dont care, my rods are half cork and the other half eva. Although i think weathered cork looks great, battlescars are a plus for me
  25. Not as good but very close. Close enough you could say
