  1. I like my casitas better than my citica. Feels a lot smaller and palms better. Id get the casitas over the caenan because of the braking system
  2. Raul should chime in soon. My brother lives in mexico and every couple months i send him baits. What he always asks for are swimbaits, magnum lizards, magnum flukes senkos, ol monsters and brush hogs.
  3. My vote goes to berkley lightning shock. I own 7 and use every one of them very often. Only rod under 50 that is actually sensitive
  4. You guys seen the gear jeremy wade uses? 20 year old 4 piece rods and some beat up cardiffs. Hes a awesome fisherman.
  5. No disrespect to you or Mr. Dobyns but sheepdog didnt say anything wrong. I have never had and have never used a powell but i did have a dobyns once. It was an awesome rod. One day it broke on a fish and i wasnt upset by that. It had caught hundreds of fish. But i was a little upset at their customer service. Not enough to talk bad about them on here but enough to put me off from buying another.
  6. First cast with a river2sea s-waver 128s got me a pretty nice fish. I have not caught a fish on that bait after that lol
  7. Cant beat natural trout
  8. The problen with lews i think itms too many reels in a small price range. They have 5 or 6 reels in the 70 to 130 price range i believe. Or thats what i saw last time i went to cabelas. I was confused. I didnt know which model was higher tier that the others so i just got another shimano
  9. I may have to return mine and go with something different. I throw 68's and 8 inch hudds the most
  10. Quick question guys Is the 7'11 heavy crucial swimbait rod heavy enough to cast 8 inch hudd effectively?
  11. I have a swimbait problem. Cant stop buying swimbaits, cant stop fishing swimbaits, cant stop buying swimbait rods and reels.
  12. Easy, the carbonlite. Better rod, more sensitive, great warranty, real light and its not a 2 piece
  13. Shimano sellus 7'2 mh fast. Paired to a shimano casitas. Well under $200. The casitas are on fleabay for $80.
  14. I think pflueger is a little over rated. I have a couple. i also have some symetres, a nasci and some siennas and sedonas. All of the shimanos are smoother than my presidents. And i also hate the plueger knob, it feels so cheap
  15. H2o xpress sells a nice compact bluegill colored spinnerbait in bluegill colors. Ive had mine for a while and its caught me plenty bass
  16. Black or silvermax combo for casting. Sellus spinning rod with a sienna for spinning
  17. I bought the new sienna 2500 during a trip because i broke one of my other reels. This new version is a lot better than the last version. Maybe not better than the president but definetly something to look at and will last a long time
  18. I skip with a caenan with no problems
  19. ive been using a shimano casitas reel i bought in fleabay for 79.99. Its an amazing reel. Seriously underrated
  20. Anyone use the fat senko? Also for shaky head try the pro senko
  21. When im bank fishing or talking to a bank fisherman i dont mind sharing. But when im fishing off my boat i wont say a word. Those guys will go to your spot and take even the bluegills. Happened to me once and i learned my lesson.
  22. Shimano zodias is a great alternative
  23. Lol yes, i had a lews speed spin reel that would always give me problems. I gave it away to my fishing buddy(hardcore lews guy). The one day he hooked into a nice 5 or 6 pounder and that same reel broke at the reel seat. It was crazy it just snapped off. And yes he lost the fish. It felt really good that it didnt happen to me.
  24. I have a berkley heritage 6'6 medium light/ xf. But it fishes like a medium fast. And a diawa lexa both been used only a couple times. 120 shipped. Also lews makes some nice combos. I was actually looking at a mach 2 combo and they look sweet. Buy your best bet would be a carbonlite/ pro qualifier combo for a tad more than your budget.
