  1. This is new to me. I have never turned off anti reverse on any reel. I let the drag do its job
  2. Id get a casitas. Very solid reels. I got mine for $85 on the bay
  3. Can you give us your rod specs and lure you were using? Just trying to understand what was the actual cause of this
  4. Get 1 medium spinning rod And 1 casting medium heavy rod Than save up for 2 reels
  5. I be looking in to a 6'6 medium heavy. Right around 1/4 to 5/8
  6. Bantam, i use one for hudds. Never had a problem
  7. If your new to baitcaster and want braid on it, get 50lb minimum. It just makes the learning process a little easier. I use 65lb
  8. Usps quoted me $50 last week. I sent via ups for $25
  9. The only reason i stated that is because some guys get real mad at that lol. I rather save an argument
  10. Some of these comments are funny, its great line. I wouldnt think twice. And at $30 its a steal. I wouldve loaded up
  11. 7"4 heavy lews mach 2 rod. It says fast but it more like a mod fast. Great rod and cheap
  12. For hudds i use a 7 gear ratio lews superduty widespool. I dont feel its to fast. I just slow down my retrieve. Make pulling them in the boat a lot easier since you catch up to the fish a lot faster
  13. Yesterday i caught my fist fish on the 6'9 medium mach rod. I can now officially say its a great rod. And matches great with the mach reel. And sorry for tail touching the ground. Tried to have him in the air but didnt realize his tail was touching
  14. Id be getting a 6 or 6'6 spinning rod for light lures or skipping under stuff
  15. I agree with you. I also tie leaders. Everytime i leave the house i tie leaders on all my rods. But if i lose the leader while fishing i dont retie the leader, i just keep fishing with straight braid. Ive never noticed a difference with or without a leader, i just use leader to be able to break off baits easier if i snag. For frogging i use 65 because at the local laked here there is some nasty stuff, 65 just give me a little extra room to horse em out. And yes everyone fishes differently, its what makes this sport great. Im more of a big line, big rod, big baits kind of guy. But some of my friends fish finnesse everyday and still catch em
  16. Awesome sticks, very underrated. I was hesitant at first but now i have 3. One of the is a jig rod and sensitivity is great. These are light too
  17. Braid with jigs is mandatory. You have to feel the bite as soon as it happens. And the braid helps get the fish out faster. I do 65lb but for 1/2oz jigs you could do 50. Although if you plan on frogging with the same set up just do 60 or 65 lb
  18. That mach 2 spinning reel would look awesome on the fury. Just sayin
  19. Everytime i get a new rod in the mail i tell my wife its a warranty replacement for a rod i broke
  20. In that case get the the one with the creased logo. You never know how the used one was fished
  21. If your anal just spend the extra 20 and get a new one
  22. ^ let me know if you have any lews leftys for sale. Send em my way diawa lovers
