Because he mentioned he tightend the drag. The straight braid slips on the spool and acts like the spool it not spinning. If you use backing the mono grips the spool and you dont get this problem
My search bait is a keitech swimbait. But honestly i dont understand the term search bait. Arent all lures searchbaits. If searchbaits find bass than why do we even fish other lures?
Zoom lizards and yum crawbugs on the owner jika rig hooks have been my fish baits this year. Most people here are struggling qt the local lake but its been one of my best years. I think the jika hooks prevent the bait from being lost on the weeds or grass and makes the differnce. Ive been keeping on the low but others are bound to figure the bite out soon
After using these for a while i have some things to say.
1. It catches fish
2. The plastic body could use some tweaking. The action is too ceazy for me.
3. I wish storm sold the swimjigs seperate. Love the actual head and hook but not crazy about the body
The walmart luck e strike floating worms. They come with 50 a pack i think. The float a 5/0 heavy hook with no problems. They stand straight up texas rigged. No need for neko hook lol
In light to moderate cover id get a medium heavy intead of the heavy. Casting distance will be limited with the heavy. Just make sure the rod has enough backbone
I decided this year im gonna polish up my cranking skills. I usually use a 7ft mh fast rod but i want to get a technique sepecific rod for cranks.
The cranks i will be throwing are rapala dt 6, 10 and 14.
Im mostly a lews guy so i was looking at the fritz palmer cranking rods. My question is should i go with a medium or medium heavy? Seems like my lure weights fit the medium but i see most guys go with the medium heavy.
I appreciate any help thanks bassresource
Easy-
1. Keitech swing impact fat
2. Wacky rigged senko
3. Zoom fluke
4. Whopper plopper
5. Ned rig
If you cant catch fish using these find a different lake
I use the 7ft medium heavy shock rod for frogging. Its perfect, the tip is not soft on that model. Its actually a little underrated. Its more of a heavy fast rod. Mine has been frogging for 3 seasons strong
I respect their grind but it really grinds my gears when they give advice but have no evidence to back it up. They give you advice on how to catch big bass but then they get to fishing and only catch a bunch of 1 pounders. Not talking about all of them.
I hate copoly, specially yozuri. I bought a spool and my line would break off at random spots. Memory was really bad and my line would also break while tying knots even if wet
