  1. Yeah i forgot to say the tp1 also
  2. For well under your budget id look into a lews mach 2 7'4 heavy flipping stick or a lews custom speed stick magnum 7'11 flipping stick. I own both and love them
  3. Im posting this because im interested in seeing how much tackle other guys take fishing. I used to take everything i owned. Plastics, chatterbaits, a-rigs, roadrunners, spinner baits, buzzbaits, etc... every new lure that came out i had in my bag. I started noticing i would swith out baits too fast, i wouldnt settle and as a result i wouldnt find patterns. This season i decided to go back to basics and now i just have a backpack, 1 plano box with some ploppers, frogs and a couple square bills. I carry 7 and 5 inch senkos, flukes, keitechs, some craws and some shaky head worms. Thats about it. I also carry a small hook and weight box so i can rig the baits any way i like. For plipping i use the 5 inch senko and for punching i use the 7 inch senko. For fishing deep i c-rig senkos or keitechs Where im trying to get at is that this has been my best season so far, and i think my tackle box has helped that. It makes me stick to the techniques that make me feel more comfortable. I want some opinions from you guys. Are you like me or do you guys think im limiting myself by using a very limited tackle box? Sorry for any spelling errors, english is not my first language
  4. Senkos, keitechs and frogs 24/7
  5. Back to basics. Senkos and frogs all day everyday during summer here in texas
  6. Rip my berkley prank. First cast, hooked into a tree pounder. Didnt even touch the water
  7. I really like the okeechobee patterns. Dont know what yum calls ir but its half watermelon and half junebug
  8. If your looking at lews get the superduty or the superduty widespool. They are tanks. I have one ive been throwing 8 inch hudds and i also punch with it. Been using it for years and still fishes like a champ
  9. My dad has never fished in his life. My uncle was the one to bring me into this sport
  10. Lol "death sentence" ???
  11. I too have to cross a flat to get to one of my spots. Been doing it for years and will continue doing it. I have never had a problem but i know the route like the palm of my hand. Its a risk im willing to take to catch some fish.
  12. When i started i use to wacky rig them because i didnt know better. I just went to walmart, bought some hooks and some worms. I would cast and let it sit there like when i used to catch catfish. I guess i also invented the deadstick
  13. Lews mach 2 mh fast. Great spinnerbait rod and great price too
  14. I havent used mine for frogs. But its great for whopper ploppers
  15. J franco would you mind telling me via pm what hardware you use for those rigs? Jika rig is probably my most used presentation and have been wanting to make my own. Thanks Ps try your rig with a yum crawbug
  16. He obviously has never owned a business
  17. Id recommend a medium heavy so around 1/4- 3/4. And a heavy around 1/2- 1 1/2. With those 2 rods you would have most situations covered
  18. My lews mach 2 reels bombs lures out there. Good value
  19. The h20 xpress 25 pack hooks work great
  20. Berkley Lighting rod shock 7ft medium heavy. Your welcome. Dont be fooled by the cheap price. Its the perfect frog rod for me
  21. Just reel and swing for the fences. I dont think angles matter much. I fish real heavy cover and most of the time my rod is at an akward angle and it doesnt seem to matter. You problem might be the hook bends out just enough to let go of the fish or the drag is too loose. Lots of variables just gotta keep trying new things till you find the right set up
  22. Keep em and eat em. No biggie. At least he wont go to waste. Like jay kumar says- "they are just bass"
  23. You didnt have anything to add to the op's question either. So why waste your time commenting
