  1. For spinning reels stick to diawa or shimano. For casting pick any brand.
  2. I only break out the ned rig when im getting skunked. If they are biting i wont because in my area it mostly catches dinks
  3. Lews mach 2 flipping rod. Its a 7'3 or 7'4 heavy fast rated up to 2 ounces. $69 right now on tw
  4. Great rod but in all honestly id get that same rod but in the mach 2 series. I have both. They feel exactly the same. Exept the guides on the mach are actually straight. I have 2 tp1 rods and both have crooked guides

  9. I throw jigs without a trailer. Fish dont seem to notice. Only time i throw a trailer on is when i need a little more weight
  10. Im a 100% lews guy and even i would say get the shimano at that price point. But for diatance i wouldnt go that high in budget. My lews mach speed spool bombs lures. My superduty also casts very far
  11. Yes but are you talking deps and huddleston big? Or something like gambler big ez? Theres a huge weight difference
  12. Depends what you are punching. If regular heavy cover and small mats go with the jig. Anything over an ounce just use a tungsten weight

  14. I do about 12ft leaders. I have never had any problems and the knot goes well into the spool
