  2. Kent ware, love his style. Big baits on spinning gear
  3. All the reels mentioned i dont see them being "upgrades" i dont think they are superior than the sahara. Id call them additions. If you want to uograde get a stradic. If you plan on getting something lower than a stradic then just keep the sahara
  4. Here at my local lakes i cannot get away with 30lb braid for frogs. Youll lose that fish quick. Most of my frog catches come with a coulple pounds of weeds and tree limbs. I use 50 but im thinking of going 65
  5. The first adjustment i make is leave the ned rigs at home... Just kidding! Or am i?
  6. Zoom magnum lizard weightless dragged on top
  7. I was playing about the neds, they catch a lot of fish i just can really use em because id get snagged every cast. But yeah most of my fishing is punching, flipping and topwater. If im fishing deep its a jig or football. I aways look for lilies, mats or reeds. Throw frogs into lilies, punch the mats and flip the reeds. Works at my locak lakes but i have been to lakes were this is not the case, in those cases i pull out the senko lol
  8. Usually run n gun but when i have a lot of time i will pick apart Big rods, big line , big lures. Im just in it for the big ones, leave the neds at home
  9. Im pretty sure he means flipping
  10. Having to set it up everytime i switch baits would suck
  11. 1. Senkos 2. Frogs 3. Keitechs 4. Hooks 5. Weights
  12. Tatula, curado or lews superduty. Take your pick all of those great
  13. What he said. Carrot stix took care of me when i needed an exchange but ive heard so many bad stories. I dont know much about enigma
  14. Sounds good man. Id throw some braid on them and go fish
  15. That rod has very little backbone, i have one But will get the job done. Id recommend you use straight braid to counter act the slow taper of the rod. I used to fish frogs on medium rods with no problems. But braid is a must. If you own a medium heavy than id use that instead.
  16. Idk but that lews mach rod is a great rod for the price. Sold my mojos and got machs and didnt look back. Feels lighter in hand too.
  17. That is all i use. I can walk and pop it.
  18. Dont get to caught up on walking them. Most of my strikes come on the pause after i pop them. If you cant walk them just drag it about half a foot or so then let it sit and repeat. Doesnt have to walk perfect as long as its moving. Ive caught fish just reeling it in. Id recommend to you the stanley ribbit, just cast and retrieve. The legs do the action Yes you can, the problem would be that when you get a strike that rod may not have the backbone needed to set the hook and get him out of cover fast. In open water you are fine but i wouldnt fish a medium rod near cover
  19. I buy most my stuff at walmart. They have everything i use. Senkos, christie craws and zoom lizards and pad crashers. 90% of my fishing consists of these lures. Only thing i dont buy there is terminal tackle
  20. Get a poppin pad crasher. If you cant walk it at least you can pop it lol
  21. Was going to say welcome but you joined since 2009. Congrats on your first post

  23. we fisherman overcomplicate things. Ive put white trailers on black jigs and catch fish
  24. Never seen these. Ill check them out. Im stickbait aficionado. I fish em all year along frogs
