  1. This is more of the type response i was expecting to have, not the previous one. I have concluded the same thing so far, and it seems multiple people have copied the same exact sentence on various sites. I found this article that im posting below but that seems to be another copy and paste job by an author doing research on various sites without any scientific backing. https://www.idahostatesman.com/outdoors/fishing/article40868019.html
  2. I disagree. I've seen that thread. This concentrates on individual rumor. This is the opinion of a single person. I want to know who started this rumor and if there has been any scientific study on the subject at all.
  3. Im sure im not the only one who has heard this rumor. I call it a rumor cause have not been able to find a single scientific source. Im looking for information. How did this rumor start, is there any truth to the rumor and does anyone have a scientific study on the subject.
  4. Do you have a picture or know which model you have ?
  5. i have a lews super duty rod that throws between 3-10oz's and im looking to get into some bigger baits. I recently bought a big savage gear shine glide and was given by a friend the smaller one. I like the way the small one runs but i didnt like the big one. I know its usually the opposite but the smaller one looked more realistic. i returned it and i dont plan on buying any more, i will just be throwing the small one when it comes to shine glide. I understand i may have gotten a crappy one but im not willing to buy another, to try out. What baits have the most realistic glides and are consistent with manufacturing ? Price is not an issue, i just want to know which baits are the most realistic out there
  6. im a bit late to the discussion but i use Gamakatsu Round Bend Treble Hooks Bronze #2 and they are perfect for the zara spook 4.5 inch. To me they felt even sharper than Owners.
  7. How do you feel about the handle on the AIRD-X
  8. Im looking for a spinning rod that i will mostly be worm fishing with. I like the Daiwa Aird X and i can get it at whole sale price. When im neko rigging, my weight can be as much as 1/4oz plus the worm, plus hook. It can get pretty heavy. I cant decided between the medium and the medium heavy. Medium goes from 1/4oz to 3/4oz and the medium heavy goes from 1/4oz to 1oz. I was thinking of getting the medium heavy because it will have more backbone but when it comes to spinning i tend to like medium cause its usually thinner, lighter and loads up better. Any suggestions ? is there a rod thats better in its price range ?
  9. They sent me a new transducer and it works now. Something is going on in the pool and it doesn't work right. I went to a lake with 20ft water and i was able to read everything. Thanks everyone from trying to help
  10. nothing really to show, those are two water bottles taped together
  11. I had the HDI selected when the wizard came up. I took it off the canoe so i dont have pics of that setup Heres a pic of the setup in pool
  12. yeah looked like that and worse.
  13. Quick disclosure, This is a long read, Im brand new to fish finders, i have no idea what im doing lol I have a canoe with a trolling motor with a lowrance trolling motor mount. i also have a separate 12v battery for the fish finder. I tried my fish finder on a local pond that wasn't more than 10ft deep. the pond was covered in weeds. all i could see was blobs and lines over the screen. It seemed like it was telling me the right depth. I took the fish finder home, took it off the trolling motor and put the transducer vertically on a floating device and through it in the pool in my back yard. Less blobs but still blobs and lines in crystal clear pool water. I call lowrance tell them my problems, they tell me to send the unit back, 2 weeks later they send the unit back and say theres no problem. I retest the fish finder in pool again , same problem. I bought a lowrance hook 4 with the same transducer as mine, swap out transducers and retest. Same problem I try the hook 4 with its transducer, the same problem. blobs and lines I have my settings to shallow and sensitivity to auto. i tried different frequencies and surface noise settings, still the same Im attaching photos and videos Videos https://goo.gl/photos/6i2KU1ApnT94yxWh8 https://goo.gl/photos/TruVr9sdsBrxfUVw8 https://goo.gl/photos/KyeUdQpPfc7aGB3g7 https://goo.gl/photos/Ltkvaxbv8rJ3Qc3d8 Please help
  14. I have a honda civic and i wanted to get a sportspal canoe. The 14ft version that i want weighs 58 pounds which isn't a lot but it being so long and me not being the biggest guy in the world, it would be more difficult to load it by myself. I was looking at those self loading car racks, like yakima with the bar boat loading car extension like in this vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjDHxgA2BJI I like this setup but that yakima car rack and extension will probably run 500 bucks, which is a bit ridiculous for a car rack. Are there any cheaper options ? Something i wont mess up my car loading ?
