This was the best of 4 from the 4th. I got in some casts between celebration festivities. She isn't super large, but I wish I had a tape on me. Caught on a watermelon Senko. Literally everytime I put a new senko on, I caught a fish first or second cast and didn't catch another until I switched senkos.

What strategies are you guys using during this long stretch of consistent, warm, sunny weather? Slower or fast? Deeper during the days?

Yea, The Lakelands. Dad is also a member at Pure Rod and Gun Club. I guess with those two options I default to them before the river. I love catching smallies so I should get out there.

Hey! New guy here from the Naperville area. I've been hitting Blackwell on week nights. Catching Pike there on a Cleo spoon from 12" to 24" so far, but haven't found the bass. I'm shore fishing only. I also get to enjoy a private lake in Plainfield along 135th street for bass and crappie. I'll get some pics up soon from there.
