  1. Well thank you everyone for the feedback looks like we have a winner and I will look at the Ardito and get on order.
  2. Yes I was looking at this one and was wanting to see if anyone from here actually used it.
  3. Hello folks, I am looking at possibly buying a couple travel casting rods. I might be doing a lot of travel in near future for work and was looking at couple ones possibly the Milikan one because of the four piece and being able to break down to compact sizes. I am open to opinions not looking to break the bank but I know get what you pay for. I have checked Amazon and other sites to get ideas but see lots of mixed reviews on some of the cheap rods. Much appreciated for the tips again I don't want spinning rods I don't like using them prefer the casting.
  4. Hmm well I just ordered one haha not what I wanted to hear. I am huge fan of Cavitron usually but thought I would try new stuff out.
  5. One of the best days I have had on the water in kayak a buddy and I were out and it started to rain. I tied on the war eagle spinner bait and we both just non stop for awhile just tearing it up fish non stop. Probably most memorable moment on the water.
  6. Butler State Fishing lake here in Kansas is a place everyone seems to rave about and I cant stand fishing it. I would rather just stay home vs fish it.
  7. Ahhh thanks for the help on this its just so frustrating at times so I will try those next time thank you very much.
  8. Is it a bandwidth issue or something why photos or videos must be so small? I have tried uploading photos that took with phone or videos of baits I have painted and always too big file? What are you guys doing to scale them down then?
  9. Black and blue or watermelon for me
  10. I have pulled what was left of Senko out of the old poop shoot once im sure the fish felt better haha. I didnt We have had people at local lake complain and I listened could have been blowing smoke but the mentioned grandkids and kids play off the dock and didn't want a hook stuck in something cutting them open. They do have a slide on both sides of the dock so I respected it and moved on. That lake has tons of docks to fish so I let it be.
  11. Welcome to the forums its fun and dramatic at times haha like every thing else. Mostly fun and informative.
  12. I also enjoy the H20 Express and they have nice hooks on them as well the crankbaits. Now the spinner baits aren't the best I bought couple and not huge fan of them. Academy hands down in my area has more selection than the local Cabelas. Also the bait used in my profile pic was a yum dinger black and blue. My Pb came off zoom fluke as well.
  13. Here I am in Kansas been trying to catch one in local lake for 3-4years and cant haha. Buddy and I finally said forget it done trying.
  14. Well we were unsuccessful and have just taken defeat on it and are done trying. The lake isn't one of our favorites anyway. We aren't going to waste anymore time driving out to said lake. Thank you for all the tips and tricks but after many trips and last few years trying we are done with it. Throwing in the old towel haha.
  15. Awesome guys I am going to be making a trip to pick up a few things based on what you have all mentioned. Thank you very much we are heading out in the morning so I will hopefully not get skunked again haha. Might have to give the whopper plopper a go again and savage gear bat maybe for fun. Then go into the water with some new lures I will pick up tonight.
  16. Alright for anyone from Kansas we have Kingman lake that has pike. We have gone off and on three years and never caught one. Tried about everything and tips? For those that don't know this is a shallow lake talking I think deepest spot 12ft maybe and chocolate milk stained water. We have tried the grass lines with various baits and then the deeper areas by the d**n has a good rocky area as well.
  17. I have heard mixed reviews on this. I was always intrigued but never purchased any if you do get some please report back your findings.
  18. My buddy uses his and its about 5 years old now no issues I wasn't huge fan I did like the silver max except I kept somehow hitting that dang flip button and short casting haha
  19. I haven't had much luck myself with them only the old willows.
  20. Well we did lake Eucha and what a rough time on the water. We arent used to clear deeper lakes like that and then the weather was rough over the weekend. Slow slow fishing and dragging not my favorite style and realized I need more deeper water lures. The buddy I was with finally got skunk out of the boat for himself at hour 11 it was a rough trip. Did learn a few things so thats always a good thing.
  21. No thanks on kissing I did the LFG thing and sniffed down the mouth of one and almost threw up haha.
  22. No one has mentioned CHIGGERS had one run in with them and now its sawyers bug spray everything anytime I go bank beating. I have a buddy who has scars on his feet from another run in with the chiggers.
  23. War Eagle are my go to confidence spinner baits.
  24. Exactly with all the crap last year I forgot what they said the numbers sky rocketed. We have a local page and no one ever says where they are fishing or just say private water which usually a lie haha.
  25. I have done it a handful of times to try new I think might have caught one fish so far. I need to try it again. Fluke one of my favorite baits in the soft plastic category.
