  1. I just put my powerdrive on. I've used it a half dozen times and I'm still trying to adjust to it. I can't seem to get the feel for the ergonomic foot pedal. Like some other people have said, the stow and deploy is not great. I miss my rope....except when it broke, I don't miss that. Hoping I get used to it soon. I have a friend who has the ergonomic pedal and he says he wouldn't go back now that he has adjusted to it. I do like the speed adjustment dial on it though.
  2. Boat looks great. You do great work. Two things I noticed that I wondered if you would change if you were doing it again. 1. Does the cooler get in the way when fishing? I thought about doing this on mine but was worried about that part of it. 2. On your back seat can you use your tiller from the pedastel mount and if not I'm afraid you are going to have a wet butt quite a bit of the time from your carpeting on the bench. Not being critical because I took on a similar project and yours looks 10 times better then mine.
  3. Fish n stuff in the n. little rock sherwood area. Arkansas rod and reel on Cantrell in LR. Gander Mtn. in N. LR The top two are my favorite.
  4. I took my boat out to run it the other day and it started fine and ran fine until I got it up to full throttle. It is a tiller steer model. Once at full throttle it acts like it is "bogging down". It will run and full throttle then back off then back to full throttle then bog down again. Sorry for the vague description but I'm about as far from mechanically inclined as they come. A buddy mentioned that he thought it might be the carb. gummed up and that I should lightly tap it with a hammer while running and see if this helps. I thought about using some SeaFoam in it. Any ideas or suggestions before I take it to the shop?
  5. How often should I grease or lube the bearings on my boat trailer? I use it all year round but never in salt water. And a follow up question. How much mechanical knowledge is required to install the buddy bearings (I think that's what they are called?) Appreciate the input.
  6. This may not be a popular response or one that you want to hear or even any of my business but it sounds like you may be rushing into this. You are asking for advice because you don't know what you want you just know you want to buy it today so you can fish tomorrow. Think about how you are going to feel when you buy that boat today and then go out tomorrow and don't catch a thing. And now you have a boat payment for several years. If you are just wanting a small boat with 25hp or less then there are a lot of good used ones out there. Take some time and look around. For the price you are going to pay for an '06 you can buy a lot bigger glass boat that is used. By the way, I don't know what depth finder he is giving you but I can about gaurantee you that its not because your military, it's because he knows he's got a live one and he doesn't want you to walk away from the deal. Back off give it a few weeks, don't buy quickly just because you want to fish tomorrow. An informed decision is better then an impulse decision.
