  1. Love the coloration of the rack! Great buck and looks like some beautiful land up there! Plans to mount it? Congratulations!
  2. He took it like a champ though.
  3. Another day on Silver; last time for me this year up in NY. Been a great year, waited till the last day to get my new PB. Not sure how much it weights exactly since I didn't have a scale, but it was the biggest for me. They were hitting good all afternoon.
  4. Silver Lake has been great the past couple weekends. The family shot:
  5. Weather was pretty bad, very windy with a mix of either overcast or raining and temps in the 40's. Water temps were low 60's, both my dad and I were throwing black/red or black/blue skirts with copper spoons, I was set up with 30lb braid on a bait caster and my dad was using 15 mono on a spinning set up. Managed to limit out and got to spend some quality father/son time filleting them and filling the freezer.
  6. Fished Silver again today; this time we were the only ones out. Hammered the Northern again. 10 in the box, with 33" being the biggest, along with 3 LMB, largest being about 3ish. That past two days, the NP have been nothing less than angry. Something fun about seeing your bait go blazing in the opposite direction at mach 3.
  7. Fished Silver yesterday in the white caps, only one other boat on the lake. Hammered the Northern Pike, ended up having to fire up the second live well. Ended up with a nice fish fry, biggest was 35".
  8. Yep, same here.
  9. It is nice to have non-ethonol gas station right outside Silver Lake. I try and time my fill ups.
  10. You can launch anything that floats. If it has any sort of propulsion you will have to register it first.
  11. Amish have internet?? Welcome!!
  12. That is nice boat for the money.
  13. Heck at that price point, why not give it a shot.
  14. Great fish!
  15. Welcome. Susquehanna State Park has some camping, I utilize the boat launch there often and have caught several SMB in that area.
  16. Great shots!
  17. Man!! That is huge!
  18. Agree on that, I grew up in Buffalo and from growing up the way I did I had NY broken up like this: The whole Buffalo area to me was WNY, then we had Chautauqua Lake which was its own region to me! Then the farm was the Southern Tier, and late summers at Black Lake was "the Thousand Islands" Everything else I thought was NYC! LOL!
  19. RIP
  20. Make sure you wear polarized sunglasses, because those rocks/boulders are everywhere.
  21. You are correct. My mistake. Upstate all depends on who you ask; to me it just means anything above NYC.
  22. North East is a great fishery, it can be tough to figure out with the tides but holds a lot of fish. If the LM bite is beating you up, switch it up a bit and go after stripers.
  23. I bet with that 200 on there it flies!
