  1. I don't make it into this forum often (if at all) and man, I am hugely impressed with Baitmaker's work. I know zero about bait making and those are true works of art! Very talented.
  2. One of those old school metal Coleman coolers. It was in about 6 foot of water, luckily I had braid on. I kept it to.
  3. Navy Crypto here. 93 -07
  4. Been really busy at work and having WNY fishing withdrawals! Let see some pics.
  5. I fished Silver on Friday and only managed two LM (4.1 & dink) and a lone rock bass, with the larger coming off a downed tree. Had to seek refuge under a tree in the early afternoon when an absolute downpour rolled through for a solid half hour. Like Farmer, I fish Silver due to convenience and really enjoy fishing that lake. But it has been rough as well for me this year in my limited time on the lake. I am going to have to venture out and 'learn' a new lake in the area since I am pretty new to fishing off my own boat.
  6. I may look into getting a set of these with the positive reviews. The cam-over ones I have on it now are about due to be changed out.
  7. Looks to be turning around a bit, guess I timed my vacation about a week or so early.
  8. Nice! I was out there between about 11-3 and was the only boat out. Had to head back to MD a little early so didn't make it back out. It was a tough week for me, but I am still a relatively new fisherman so I still get excited just to be on the water trying to figure the fish out.
  9. Hit Silver again today with not much luck it was cold, windy, and overcast. Last hope is tomorrow until I have to head south for a bit.
  10. I fished today for a bit, got ran off the lake when the rain and wind kicked up. I had my son with me, so didn't push the weather.
  11. Yeah, went out early, right at first light, which was a mistake with the wind and cloud cover. Managed to get ONE bass (mid 4s) off a downed tree with a jointed perch hard bait. I threw what seemed like the whole box until about 1030 and called it. I really need to start hitting/learning some of the other lakes in the area. See some different scenery.
  12. Yeah! Anytime you need to shoot. I have a rifle range and a pistol range with steel targets.
  13. Silver skunked me today. Doesn't happen often where I cant land something, but zip, nada, nothing. Had something (think it was a pike) swipe at a rattle trap and that was it. Did meet Farmer at the ramp which is nice to put a face to the name. And got back early enough to clear some trees and brush, pushing my rifle range out to 260-280 yards though. Hopefully it picks up this week; I will be back at it in the am.
  14. Just de-winterized the boat today. I will be heading up and hitting Silver for a week starting Friday to wet some lines. I am not figuring on slaying them, but need to get on the water. See you out there Farmer, I have a feeling there will be few on the lake.
  15. Love me some pike, never had musky.
  16. I mounted mine directly onto the wheel well with some stainless steel bolts, it really isn't the legal spot but I have never been hassled with it. It can easily be seen from behind and isn't going anywhere.
  17. There are a few ponds right near you in the Patuxent Wildlife Refuge right off 198/32. Nothing giant but really close to dip some lines once in a while.
  18. Yes it is definitely geared more towards hunting and guns. There is a "fishing" section, however it is mostly outfitters and there is minimal fishing gear as a whole to be bought there. I don't think you will find a trolling motor for sale at the show.
  19. A little two part epoxy and some bottom paint, she is good to go imo.
  20. Anyone been out? Lets hear about your fishing tackle you got for Christmas?
  21. Had Silver all to myself today, the lone boater. Fishing was tough though, not a productive day at all, but hey I wasn't at work.
  22. Now there is something I will never say.
  23. Awesome!!! Those are some great fish!
  24. Fished Silver all last week, some days were better than others but overall it was a tough week. Biggest was a 5.2 for bass and a 35" pike that was super fat; should have weighed it for s## and giggles but didn't think about it until later. The lake is wayyyyy down, I would say at least 2 feet. The first three dock sections at the park are on the ground and my trailer tires were falling off the end of the ramp. So take care if you are a fan of power loading because it really isn't an option right now unless you trim way up. Perhaps Farmer pulled the plug in the bottom?? Some of the mornings were a bit brisk.
