  1. I can pm anyone my address for all the non-working ones. I will even pay the shipping. I have had great success throwing them. They were outstanding on my 'home' lake when there was a severe algae bloom going on.
  2. Just a rope here, I have a clip on each end which makes it easy on/off.
  3. Amazon, Sierra Trading Post, and Ebay are great (and cheapest) place to get them.
  4. Nice!
  5. Two times this summer I had wasps build a nest in my 'pee hole'. <-- LOL. One time was found when I was on the water already and had to troll all the way back. Now I store it with a golf tee in the hole.
  6. Glad you found your answer the easy way! I had a random trim piece in my old truck that I never found a place for.
  7. I had them in New Orleans one time, but never caught them to eat. I just let them go. A lot of guys "hunt" them with .22 in this spot, they fill up small coolers with them.
  8. Great job!
  9. Did you save the waypoints?? LOL!
  10. Well done!! That is a true bag of footballs!
  11. Sure do! As soon as the frog hit the pads, I would have 3-4 hone right in on it. Tough for them to get it in their mouths but they are persistent.
  12. Little early morning top water Pike. Excuse my dad's thumb.
  13. Great looking ride!
  14. A few from the last week:
  15. Well my long week of hunting and fishing has come to an end. Started off fishing last Thursday with @ww2farmer and like he said we started and ended with fish, but the midday slump was a grind. But the weather was great and the time went by with pointers taken to improve my fishing. I am now maybe a 3/10 on the skill level of skipping jigs under pontoon boats, trees, and docks; but at least I can do it now! I spent the remainder of the week fishing and hunting and did very well with the same patterns on Silver lake with the morning bite being very good and then about 10-11 am it shut down hard. The algae bloom was really present most of the week with only "clearing" on the really windy days, but most of the mornings was casting topwater through the pea soup. It did lead to the advantage of being able to see exactly where you cast and where the fish blew up at it! I have to say the whooper plopper really shined on the top water all week. Each morning it put four to six fish in the boat on some great top water action. And a few 30"+ pike as well. Each morning yielded at least one 4+ lbr (I caught a few right at 4.11/12) and several 3's, but no dinks. I did make it out to Conesus later on Sunday and it was VERY windy. Never fished that lake and with the conditions, we made the best of it. Managed to put a few in the boat shallow, and had a buddy with me who had very limited fishing experience so he was chucking the bluegill whopper plopper all over, and beat us all. He got bites with it near docks, off both the outside and inside weed edges and just about everywhere he chucked it. And this was pretty much all day. Hunting was great, but started with my new Amish neighbor walking around "turkey hunting" my property close to dark. Spent a lot of time hunting with a buddy who has a managed farm and didn't really see anything that I wanted to harvest quite this early in the season. BUT, as I was leaving last night to travel back down to Maryland, I got about 2 miles from my cabin and smacked a very large doe with the truck. Dented the bumper a bit, but the Ram definitely won the battle. Call the State Police and got a tag, my Dad swung by and picked her up and I headed back down to reality of work. This was Tuesday morning on Silver:
  16. 14 Tracker V175. Boat has done everything I have asked and more!
  17. Are they going to fit out of the garage now?
  18. I couldn't resist, I ordered one as well.
  19. Nice bag for the win! Maybe hit up Conesus with you when I am up in a few weeks?
  20. Got this lot from TW , and have a Diawa Tatula from Academy on the way.
  21. Took my son and a buddy out on the Upper Chesapeake/Susquehanna on Friday since it was nice out and he was itching to fish. We hit the tide wrong but actually caught a few. Used a technique and bait I learned from @ww2farmer up in NY and actually caught a few SM!
  22. That is a great pike!!
  23. Finally made it up to NY to do some fishing this week. Started the week out fishing with Farmer on his boat. I can't thank him enough for welcoming me to fish with him. It says a lot when a fisherman is willing to help a new guy learn and I can learn a lot from this guy! I have never seen someone skip under docks, trees, pontoon boats like that before! I need to learn how to do that. Silver has been slow as usual and through casual conversation I mentioned never catching a smallmouth before. Enough said we pull up shop and he put me on the SM! Ended up catching my PB smallmouth - given the fact that it was my first, it was my PB! Went out solo this evening and it was slow again, caught rock bass like a champ and the below LM (3.8) on a jig. Ended my night on a low, I decided to retie my jig and for some dumb reason I used a knot I never use to try and reduce the grass catching on it. Well low and behold I pitch to a lily pad, it explodes, I set the hook....and gone. Thought it was a pike at first that maybe bit me off until I reeled it in and noticed the tell tale undone knot curl. Still got a few days more to fish.
