I agree. There isn't an animal that's native to the U.S. that can't be taken with a 30-06. Even when I went to Africa, most of the guides carried an 06 with one guy in the group carrying a 375 or 404 just in case something large and angry came
Howa rifles are pretty underrated. I'm not saying they're a Cooper or Sako, but they're better than any 700 that's been made in the past 10 years or cheaper Savage. Howa makes the Vanguard line of rifles for Weatherby. They're pretty rock solid
Ive had a VP9 for a few months now and have a little over 3500 rounds thru it. No complaints. Trigger is noticeably better than my Glocks. I've sanded the charging tabs off the rear of the slide. They really didn't do it for me. But other than that I'm very pleased with it. Standard HK product. Accurate and boringly reliable. Buy with confidence
Not Wisconsin. This state's hunting and fishing description is "Mediocrity at its Finest". But it is a great state if you're one of the types of people who thinks sitting in a stand for one week a year in November makes you Jeremiah Johnson. Thank god I'm booking for Oregon
