  1. I can save ya a lot of time and frustration. buy a bag of senkos catch some fish and from there spread out to learn the other techniques of bass fishing.
  2. premium member on Fish Brain.... what a joke
  3. Ha! I'm just kidding nobody was saying evil. trolling for bass has never been my favorite but to each his own.
  4. Punching and frog fishing are the best things about bass fishing..... enjoy it. treble hooks suck anyway
  5. Maybe with no fishing pressure they can hear and sense you from a mile away? slow dragging a Texas rigged senko will always work
  6. I wish I had known earlier that dragging a soft plastic behind the boat at 40mph would catch so many big bass. Can't believe I wasted so much time on dropshots and swimbaits.
  7. I try to save my body for the real thing! if you ever fish more than 10 times a week you learn to let your body rest
  8. WRB! this guy has more info about bass fishing, bass behavior, lake-reservoir knowledge than anyone I have seen on here. and being from Ca it's nice to hear regional info.
  9. what about California?
  10. Catch 22- I think the bass just adjust. if any body of water can provide what they need they will find it. Further North is right a lot of the times the water is cooler than the surface water even 2 or 3 feet down in some ponds. I'm sure Tom (WRB) will have some insight but it kinda sounds like you're just trying to guilt yourself into some uncrowded action ?
  11. just to update it, Loch Lomond received it's first trout plant early this summer. my home lake
  12. Maybe that's how NJ LMB are. here in Ca once in a while ya get the old 1 who knows the catch and release deal but thats why I fish
  13. I do a lot of pond fishing and I'm sure the bass is in the grass during the day. sometimes the big females go to the middle bottom in the daytime.
  14. Happens a lot in pressured lakes and ponds from my experience ... long pauses I find usually attract more strikes but a lot of times they just bump it. snagged frogs on vegetation or the pond scum layer ripped free will give you that big hook up every time but I find it only works once for an area so you have to plan
