  1. I love it when conditions call for a top water bite (especially frog) if I think I have a chance I'm throwing a frog.. same with a jig or a glide. I associate those baits with quality fish. Especially jigs. Drop shot not so much. I'd put jigs swimbaits and frogs on my favorite bait list.. 2of those fish may equal 3 or 4 dropshot of fish. In preference and weight
  2. The winners were probably just around the right fish and either presentation would have won. I like fishing a jig when I can get away with it. The thicker the grass/cover for convenience I'll switch to a t rig.
  3. A proficient caster will do well with any reel he or she chooses... pick the one that's your favorite color and practice practice practice
  4. I'm afraid they'll take hold and greatly decrease the bait population. I fear over time the number of quality fish the lake is known for will decline. I couldn't care less about catching them. When whites were introduced to fork in many peoples opinion the schooling black bass were never the same.
  5. . Small 2 thousand acre lake. Known for quality bass. Gates were open for sometime to equalize with neighboring body of water. Now white bass and spotted bass are in the lake Which were never in there before. Can this hurt the lake?
  6. I've noticed it recently in some videos. But it's never been a topic that I've seen...
  7. Often times line size, lure weight and rod power can upset casting if they are not all in sync. What's your specific set up
  8. I have 6 or 7 K's. Maybe you got a lemon. To me they're the best reel for the money made. Especially if you use bigger diameter lines.
  9. Started using that color with Ross England at Clear Lake. Works in here in Tx just fine...Color is a myth as far as I'm concerned anyhow.
  10. It bothers me when they get a fish close to the boat and start clicking the thumbbar into free spool. Starting to noticed this more. Seems precarious. Bad habit imo.
  11. Sweet colors. Weed guard waay too high off the hook point for my liking
  12. One rod comes to mind it's a no brainer. Orochii xx leviathan
  13. Extreme hp 702c core50 10 to 8 pound tatsu or tactical at the moment. Up to 3/8 oz. 1/2 ounce I'll go a imx 843, or a emft orochii xx. 15 tatsu.
  14. A friend of mine is on the okuma promo staff. I've fished with his helios a bit Theyre great.however I've had such good results from shimanos for the last 15 years it's hard to deviate when it comes to spending my hard earned cash. I think I have 5 or 6 k's so far.
  15. Chatterbaits, glides, hollow body frog variations. castable a rigs. ultra deep cranks... imo the sport has evolved.
  16. Insert inappropriate jokes now! Great rod that gets no love...bahahahahah
