I love it when conditions call for a top water bite (especially frog) if I think I have a chance I'm throwing a frog.. same with a jig or a glide. I associate those baits with quality fish. Especially jigs. Drop shot not so much. I'd put jigs swimbaits and frogs on my favorite bait list.. 2of those fish may equal 3 or 4 dropshot of fish. In preference and weight
The winners were probably just around the right fish and either presentation would have won. I like fishing a jig when I can get away with it. The thicker the grass/cover for convenience I'll switch to a t rig.
I'm afraid they'll take hold and greatly decrease the bait population. I fear over time the number of quality fish the lake is known for will decline. I couldn't care less about catching them. When whites were introduced to fork in many peoples opinion the schooling black bass were never the same.
. Small 2 thousand acre lake. Known for quality bass. Gates were open for sometime to equalize with neighboring body of water. Now white bass and spotted bass are in the lake Which were never in there before. Can this hurt the lake?
It bothers me when they get a fish close to the boat and start clicking the thumbbar into free spool. Starting to noticed this more. Seems precarious. Bad habit imo.
A friend of mine is on the okuma promo staff. I've fished with his helios a bit Theyre great.however I've had such good results from shimanos for the last 15 years it's hard to deviate when it comes to spending my hard earned cash. I think I have 5 or 6 k's so far.
