  1. My friend is into throwin huge swimbaits and has molds for many ridiculously large stuff. He gave me some home made 15 inch lizards. Caught a 7+ on a bed at Montecello that wouldnt even look at anything ,craw, jig, zoom mag lizard not a sniff. After 30 minutes. I remembered i had those nest raiders and put one on my t rig. As soon as i flipped it in there she circled on it and started flarin up i think she even changed colors... I reeled the bait in quickly. tied on a bigger hook cause i wasnt sure a 3/0 round bend would work. Best thing i had was an 8/0 beast swimbait hook first flip back in she ate. It was awesome. Ive got a pic of it somewhere
  2. Ive own both for some years now and use them both alot. Imo a dt16 would over power a 764. For me half ounce is the top of the sweet spot for 764. I also love throwin kt spoons and slabs for whites on these rods. To me 764/3xd, 804/5xd, 805/6xd, 806/10xd (or equivilent baits of different make) i also throw alot of 6th sense and some norman and a few others. But that is the perfect match for my cranking needs.
  3. I like a long 10 to 15 foot leader only because when ive got a big one at the boat goin crazy i like to have my knot several wraps deep in the spool. As for the OP question ive probably got close to a dozen Ks since they came out. never had an issue
  4. I love 1st gen emtf for t rigs. Its the same rod as dsr but a few inches longer. Brailist is good too but but kind of dull in my hands. Own all 3 plus more in the 1st gen. Pretty much fish all dobyns now but that emtf is still one of my favorites.
  5. I use big hammers alot
  6. I love fishing logs. Usually with a lizard. Or a frog parallel to the floaters.
  7. Both. And watching a little bit of it with my own 2 eyes. Not following anyone around but have ran into a bunch while doin my thing.
  8. Has anyone ever been? What to expect will there be lots of vendors like a mini fishing expo. Ones coming to my home next weekend but there is like little to no advertisement about it.
  9. Love both of my 843 mbr E6x and imx. Thrown everything from 1/8 oz shakey heads to 6xds
  10. Wierdos call them crappy
  11. Used elite 9 ti
  12. I have one on my frog rod set pretty loose and can d**n near spool it with 65# braid. Absolutely will bomb a .5 oz frog. Set loose you must still thumb it on the first of the cast.Too restrictive for great casters? No. Worth the 75 bucks over original curado? probably not. Small gain in performance. Do i love it? YES.
  13. skeeter fxr phoenix 721 basscat eyra
  14. commie scoundrels
  15. have 745 and an amistad st. imo 745 fishes a 3/4 jig really well. also imo 745 and amistad are pretty close in power. so may e a 746 would better suit you. my personal favorite is a 784 for 3/4 f.b. jig
  16. brown and purple 1/2 oz flippin jig/ june bug rage craw. trailer
  17. a non Boater would have to have an inflated sense of self importance to believe he/she is entitled to the same potential oppurtunities IN A TOURNAMENT as the boater. A day of fun fishing in my boat is the polar opposite. If i do have a guest ill pretend im a guide and let my guest fish the prime stuff. its all situational
  18. Excellent example of a sliding slope fallacy!
  19. as a non boater you have to have realistic expectations. Few variables to consider. Tournament? Team? Individual? Seems like a few non boaters have had not ideal experiences. at the end of the day its his boat. and so are the expenses that come with it so imo and rightfully so the boater should help himself to unfished water the way he pleases. if this means the back deck has a poor angle so be it if you dont like. go get your own boat. Hopefully none of these acts are done out of spite. You just have to fish the conditions and take what you can get.
  20. some do. forsure. if they cant be revived they are fillets for the freezer.
  21. caught last week. deep cranking. was on a sick bite 3 days in a row best 20 fish went over 100 pounds
  22. well that fell right into my will house. My favorite rod is a dx 784 hp.
  23. large mouth under 2 or 3 pounds are really good im sure bigger is ok too but i wont keep any bigger than that. while still alive i bleedem by cutting the gills. and put on ice. cleaning a cold fish is waay easier. spots are even better!
  24. post the 6 pounder!
  25. im pretty sure the host municipalities bid for the Tour to stop at their respective lakes. my guess
