Swimbait fishing with a buddy he reties leaving a hell of alot of left over tag line. Clips the wrong one and threw a rof5 hud68 down the drain. Followed by a few words they don't teach in school.
Yup. If you are serious contact lake fork taxidermy. It's a little steep. 350 for a 10 pounder. I think a little less for a smaller fish. But they do world class work
All great answers. I don't drink at all anymore. But don't mind others having a few responsibly. reb67 said it best. Catching fish should come second to bonding with my brother in law... but I still plan on getting bit!
Another viable option is to buy a beefed up zebco 33 and put it on a 7 foot mh rod that I no longer use. I think it may be an easier transition to learn how to cast
My brother inlaw is flying in for Thanksgiving from Costa rica. He's never gone fishing. Ever. I just don't want his first time to be frustrating. All I really own are bait casters aside from an Ultra light rig. I learned how to fish with minnows and cork maybe that would be best? In regrads to difficulty aND still gEtting bit. I just want him to have fun and hopefully catch fish
I believe a 60/40 rod like you're describing meaning under a load the rod will start to bend at 60 percent of the rods over all length from the bOttoman of the handle. This would probably be a moderate to moderate fast action or taper. A 70/30 would be closer to a fast action. 80/20 would be extra fast. In my opinion rods and reels are evolving for sure. Maybe more so in design and materials
1.zoom super fluke Arkansas shad, 2.paradise tackle 1/2 oz flippin jig in green pumkin crawdad. 3. 3/8 ounce terminator spinner bait willow/Colorado blade white chartrues. 4. 3/8 oz strike king red eye shad black back chrome.5. Zoom 6 inch lizard motoroil.
I will only speak on equipment I own/owned. the bantam cu 200 is a very good reel but big and bulky for my liking. I have zero experience with the G series. I've seen alot of haters on the G series. I'd bet it's still good especially at a good price. My favorite is the new curado i. The e's and d100's tie for second
For me it's hard to beat the curados.I have curados and cbronarchs.over a dozen of the last 3 generations Of each. I have 1 jdm shimano it's the scorpion 1000xt. It's twin sister is the chronarch/curado 50e. I have one of each.love them all. In my opinion your wasting an extra 25 bucks getting the Scorpion over the chronarch 50e. It's the same exact reel. I really like the curado I's and my 1000xt and 50's. The chronarch ci4 is one sweet reel. But to me it's not worth 100 more than the curado
