  1. Won't give advice on rods I've never used but I have 2 e6x rods. If I didn't own orochii xx and nrx ,glx ,imx. I'd say they're pretty dang good rods. I.e. a corvette is great unill you drive a few lambos, and porche
  2. Not much anymore. I have enough tackle to las a long ass time. But I am expecting 2 phoneys 2 more hinkles and 3 hinkle trout before fall time. Swimbait waitung list game is no joke. That's gonna set me back a bit. 1 trout on ebay should cover most of that though.
  3. I love flip flops. But I'm tired of cooking the top of my feet I. The summer time.they're so tan it doesn't bother me after the first few weeks of summer. But I know the sun can't be good for my feet. I've been wondering the same thing
  4. 2 ounces max. Which i wouldnt exceedGreat jig and pitching rod makes a great small swimbait and frog rod too. Maybe too light for punching 2 ounce jigs. Idk I punch through some thick stuff with 1 ounce works fine. The leviathon maybe a better match.
  5. Beat me too it. Robo worms and trick worms are great but I like the creme scoundrel in ox blood
  6. The core really starts to shine with light line and lighter bfs type applications. I've got both reels. Both are really good. But something about the new ci4 material. I can whittle it with a knife. How good can it be ? I'd never buy another chronarch ci4. I'd either save for a metanium or get another curado.
  7. Ya I've seen that camelot bell private waters sells bass for like $10k and like $1k per day to fish. Yikes
  8. O really my mistake I thought it was caught in a small private lake loaded with protien rich forage. Those were the bass I was referring to. What reservoir was it caught out of ?
  9. These bass are the equivalent of high fence monster bucks. TheY get an asterisk in my book.
  10. My hook up ratio has been pretty horrible this year. Maybe 30 percent
  11. 25 years of fishing pretty hard. Never been hooked
  12. Used orochii xx pitch perfect for 200 and a second hand nib curado for 150. Both on the forsale section. Never recommend anything I don't own. You can guess what my froggin stick is. Plus makes a great jig and bottom contact rod for heavier applications.
  13. an accurate scale will humble your A $$.
  14. I'm just curious what's gonna happen when you get a big one hooked up. Can this rig muscle fish through the slop?
  15. Read online about a private fishing lake stocked with trophy bass. And he's selling them some going for more than 10k. Does anyone know of a market or who would really buy a 10-teener size bass for this much money? BTW the place is called camelot bell. It cost a ridiculous amount of money to fish. I think it's like 1500 a day. Come on man.
  16. Skippin docks. Or deep points. Fished a power plant lake last weekend. 90 degree water. 100 outside. Slayed on deep points and deep current breaks down current side of bottom structure. I'm talking SMASH Fest. I love it when they get balled up in summer time. Nothing like catchin 7 pounders on bfs setups and 8 Pound test. In deep open water. Feels like you're fighting a freakin tuna.
  17. How texoma Palestine and squaw creek beat out some other lakes I frequent in east texas I'll never know
  18. If kvd could change from quantum to shimano and gloomis. And from nitro to ranger you think he'd do it? I realize it's not the boat, or the rod and reel that. Catch the fish. But better equipment makes a difference. aaron martens doesn't have a reel sponser hence he uses shimano. Made the switch from diawa a few years ago.
  19. Before sonar was really good and developed how did the pros fish offshore structure especially unfamiliar waters. Was reading maps and depth changes that effective?did they have maps that identified creeks humps road beds and such like today? Because I reckon the detailed maps of today are a byproduct of technology advances in sonar. Did they even have detailed maps that we have now? Or was everybody beating the bank or throwing at some visible structure that continued underwater. Reason I ask is I'm going to be with out sonar. while I save up. For new units. The old lowrance small units were very basic anyway. And I still want to fish offshore as much as I can
  20. Most of the guys I know in the swimbait world throw cxx. Straight one line one knot period point blank. Cxx is the only line for glides imop. probably get away with 12 lb on the 168 15# at most. I throw 20 pound on 250s never have any problems re tie alot.
