  1. I'm a motor guide owner for now...
  2. I'm at a lake in east Texas now. Thermocline is set in well at 15 feet.
  3. Super secret lure. Strike king 6xd, in a super rare hard to find sexy shad. Hehe. For real though if I had a secret lure it would be a Hinkle, phoney, or a much easier to find Lockhart lures chuckNspin
  4. This jig has lasted over 6 months probably close to 100 fish and the paint is almost gone. I've had to file the hook a few times it's rolled from jaw boning a few. Maybe time to retire her
  5. Yeah but not the end of the world esp with braid.
  6. Slow down when you set the hook. Lower rod tip, crank down, come tight, then set hook. Hard.
  7. Pretty often. I feel any good angler that fishes where I fish would too.
  8. LAME SAUCE ! They wouldn't be giving it away if they didnt want people seeing it.
  9. Post pics of the new frog
  10. Smaller ponds this has happened to me before. I've seen a 4 foot water snake get crushed swimming against a sea wall.right at shore. By a trophy size bass.
  11. I too viewed parts of his videos. And enjoy them for the most part. It's not the ugly stick or whatever that discredits the test for me as long as everything is the same (rod ,line, casting plug). But he and I set our reels up quite differently making his test not compatible to me imo.. I think a CLEAN reel with good technique, proper rod and line for said lure weight are more important than the type of reels. To some extent. Especially with the quality of reels he's dealing with. Back to the 200k held one yesterday. Still can't believe I walked out of there with out buying. Gotta have one or 4... Just have more than I can possibly fish right now
  12. I have a tfo. And a 13 for the same price point I like the 13. Much better. I use them both with shimano 50s. And 8 -10 pound mono or flouro. They're my go to drop shots, light shakey swing heads. And I use one with mono to throw small poppers and such. 4 inch weightless senkos basically anything in the. 25oz range
  13. Luck , fate whatever you believe in yes you are. You better haul out before she has a second thought. Hehe hope you catch a big one!
  14. Imo. Smash tech headmaster swimbaits skip the easiest
  15. Pulp fiction. ******. Big lebowski, jon wick
  16. Idk maybe it's not a broken gear. I've never seen a schematic of an x5 or any t.m. for that matter. The shop doesn't know either they still havnt taken it apart.
  17. Yeah I'm almost to that point. If the dude wasn't soo d**n polite I'd be out of there. A year ago he pulled a fury prop off his personal boat and lend it to me while mine was getting reworked. And I keep that in mind all the time.
  18. I've been using the same boat mechanic/ for 2 years now. Good guys for the most part. And have done decent work so far. But the 3 times I've had my boat in its never ready when he tells me. not even close. On one occasion it was 6 weeks later than he told me. Now. Tuesday June 13 2017. I drop off my trolling motor for a broken gear in the l.u. Owner tells me he won't be able to look at it till later in the week. He said be able to have parts till the next Monday the 19th. COOL! I call back next Wednesday the 21st ( according to his word he shoulda had parts for 2 days by now). He has his secretary tell me he hasn't even cracked it open yet... Ok. I've called once a week. And it's been nothing but excuses and here it is almost a month later. To repair a. Broken t.m. shaft... How should I confront him ? I'd rather get told the truth. Than get told a bunch of lip service.
  19. Slow down. You bait , your boat your movements , be quiet as you can
  20. Even with 50# braid and a short amount of line out. If there's any slack with I crack her it's popping 50% of the time with my stout frogging rod.
  21. Most bag of plastics I open gets a dose of the "sauce" garlic , crawdad, jjs, spike, bang, bass dynasty etc. Can't hurt right?
  22. Spool tension knob loose. With barely side to side play. Or just tight enough to eliminate. Put cast control breaks 3/4 all the way on. Make a smooth castbut really load the rod so the bait slings with good acceleration and velocity. Back of cast control to desired breaking with practice . Make sure your rod, lure, and line size match a system that works. Too light a lure, or too heavy line coupled with the wrong rod makes casting difficult. Big ol heavy lures cast pretty good
