  1. Thanks for the advice. I have been wanting to make some just wasn't sure how good they would be in darker water.
  2. Can you fish buck tail jigs in stained to muddy water conditions? I'm thinking about making some to use but not sure if they will work for the water I fish.

  4. I have a Lee pro melting pot.
  5. I have tried doing that even use a heat gun to heat the mold. Once you start pouring do you have to keep heating your mold?
  6. I pour my own jigs and I plan on using them in tournaments.
  7. When I'm pouring my jigs I have to keep my mold really hot. If not the jig doesn't pour all the way. I have watched YouTube videos and what I have seen nobody is having to get there molds that hot. I'm wondering if there is something I'm doing wrong.

  11. How are you keeping the paint off of the eyes of you don't mind me asking? I'm using a fluid bed to power coat mine.
  12. Ok I will. I'm having the problem with the paint in the eyes. I haven't got to fish with mine yet.
  13. Jiggin' that one looks good. I just started making them. I still have some more stuff the learn. But for the most part they have turned out pretty good.
  14. The way I do it is use a small wire to clean it out as soon as you dip it. Also when baking them hang them with the heads up. I have more pictures I'm going to post.

  18. Ok thanks Jiggin. I'm pouring powder coating and making the skirts myself. It has been a learning curve that for sure but I have gotten pretty good at making them.
  19. I can't seem to get the pictures small enough so I can post them.
  20. I just started making my own jigs.
  21. I have been bass fishing for eight years. I recently started tournament fishing and making my own jigs. Bass fishing is a passion of mine I think about it all the time.
