So, I recently started posting a bit on here and I never took the time to provide a proper introduction, so here goes.
My name is Tre, I'm 25, and I live in Georgetown, Kentucky. Currently I work in the automobile industry, but I hope to move on to insurance underwriting in the near future. Until the last two months, I had hardly ever fished in my life. My father is an impatient man and after two trips with many crossed lines and an 8 year old who wouldn't shut up and wanted to eat the hot dog bait, and that was the end of any fishing for a long time. Luckily, he had kept his old poles and was kind enough to give them to me, and so my addiction began.
Anyways, I'm glad to have found this site. Its very obvious there are quite a few very knowledgable anglers on this site and I can see my grasp of bass fishing growing exponentially. I'll be the first to admit I still have quite a bit to learn though.
Currently, I am on a very tight budget (no boat, no fancy rods/reels just a good ol' Zebco spinning rod), so most of my fishing is limited to wade fishing the Elkhorn Creek. Haven't had too much luck yet, but I'm getting there. In fact, the other day, I almost posted on here to ask if using a curlytail grub as a trailer for a spinnerbait would be effective. Turns out, I didn't need to ask. I managed to pull in a 15 inch smallmouth. Put up one heck of a fight for such a small fish. Shame I forgot the camera, but at least my fiancee and best friend were there to witness the catch.
Anyways, I'm glad to be a member of such an active and helpful forum.
