  1. The other day I bought a pack of 50 gummy worms for a dollar and used them for fishing a relatively large pond (6 acres) and caught 10 bass in an hour and ended with a total of 25 bass in 3 hours. I was using them wacky rigged on a VMC wacky jig head. These things may not produce as many fish as a Senko but they certainly catch fish. With the price I'd rather have 350 gummy worms instead of one pack of Senkos. Who else uses gummy worms for bait? P.S. Sorry if this thread has been made before, if it has I couldn't find it. If this thread has been made please feel free to leave a link to it. Thanks!
  2. The Ned Rig in my eyes is just a worm on a jig head. To me its really nothing revolutionary or new because I've been using this technique in saltwater for years. I cannot deny that its very effective for bass in the right conditions though.
  3. I guess I'll have to try them. Are you using the Booyah spinnerbaits?
  4. I really like the Powerbait u-Tail worms. They really seem to work better than zoom and bass typically attack it no matter how you present it.
  5. Ned Rig-Basically a worm on a jig head
  6. Hey Guys, I was wondering what your personal favorite square bills are. Mine is the Storm Arashi Square 3 in Rusty Craw and Bluegill. The SK KVD Square bills are a really close second. So, what's your personal favorite? (Sorry that the photo is sideways)
  7. Make sure you have insurance first...
  8. Shallow- Storm Arashi Squarebill size 3 and 5 in Bluegill, Rusty Craw, and Crappie Deep- Rapala DT in Parrot and Shad
  9. Early May all the way through late october
  10. The BioSpawn Vile Craws are my favorites, along with a U-Tail worms, Stanley Ribbits, and Senkos
  11. Try a weightless Senko or a drop shot rig. I hope this helps!
  12. Storm Arashi, Bomber, Rapala
  13. I think the fish mostly key in on the disturbance. I've used almost all poppers you cold think of including duo realis and I've been using Prism gill the most and it performs well but personally I think the Rapala skitter pops are better. I hope this helps
  14. Gold for dirty water, silver for Clear water, or both for somewhere in between. Best of Luck -Glenn
  15. Yes, Ive fished Red and Green pumpkin in water with 5 inches of visibility (yes that is possible) and it worked fine. Maybe not the best choice but the bass can certainly see the silhouette of the bait and pick up the vibrations very well.
  16. Wow that paint job looks great!!
  17. I'd stick to using it as a leader. I don't necessarily think you need to use a full spool of it because it sinks very fast compared to mono or braid. This could be a good thing, but if you want more versatility stick to mono or braid. Personally I dislike it.
  18. Monofilament line has a lot more stretch than braided line making it a little harder to detect strikes. I'd say braid makes the sensitivity on a rod much better and also how thick the rod is in relation to the action of the rod. The thinner the rod is the more sensitive it will be. Pair up braid with a nice medium action rod and your good to go!
  19. Try the KVD Swim Jigs, 1/4 ounce or 1/2 ounce depending on how deep your fishing. This would be for the 4 inch model and maybe the 3 or 2 inch models. I hope this helps!
  20. Being the owner of a farm pond I'd say the best way to ask for permission is to knock on the door, ask him if he needs any work done and if he says yes, ask him if you can fish his pond in return for the work. Or just have your friend introduce you, OR you could just ask your friend what the owner is like personality wise and ask how he would like you to ask. Hope this helps -Glenn
  21. One time my friend cracked a windshield.

  23. Hey guys...Bass are about to spawn and I was wondering, if you had one lure to fish a bass bed with what would it be? Thanks in advance
  24. Ok, I guess Ill have to buy one to see if its actually worth it and if I like it. If I do then I will probably be able to justify the price...Thanks for all the responses guys
