  1. I heard they work well but I can not say for sure.
  2. I was fishing off a dock in Florida and a catfish took my rod off the dock. The water had about 20 feet of visibility so I just hooked my rod with a jig and got it back. Eventually it will corrode internally but the rod should be fine. :/
  3. Spro Frog all the way! To me it is the most versatile
  4. Ribbontail worm used to be used a lot, now I use Zoom UltraVibe Worms instead.
  5. Hey Guys, I've been fishing at dusk lately and some guy at the pond told me that night fishing may be the way to have better success in that pond. His reasoning was the temperature drops and bass go shallow and become more active. I have tried night fishing before but never had any luck. Do you guys have any suggestion for the lures I should use? The pond is 6 feet deep at the most with about 3" of visibility. Thanks
  6. Any kind of topwater lures should work well, a worm will work well too.
  7. No it is not salted. I would not recommend throwing it on a shakey head, you will miss a LOT of fish. Use it on a T-Rig or Carolina Rig for the best results. Good luck!
  8. Welcome to the forums!
  9. I got 15 lures for 15 dollars in a bargain bin. Some of these lures are also very hard to find. The Bait Monkey strikes again!
  10. I have a few large grass carp in my pond that feed off the weeds on the surface. The bluegills and bass like to eat all of the small craws and baitfish that the carp knock out of the weeds. So I'm guessing that you could catch a few fish if you throw the right bait near a carp that is feeding.
  11. 1.Stanley Ribbits 2.PowerWorms 3.Senkos 4.Baby Brush hog
  12. Poppers
  13. Use the spinnerbait first and if it is not producing switch to a jig.
  14. I fish a pond that has that entire bottom covered in tree stumps and logs. No Joke, theres only one spot in the pond that doesn't have a log or stump. I was losing a considerable amount of Texas rigs and jigs until I started using 60lb braid with a 30lb leader. Now I never lose jigs or T-Rigs or anything else that I use in that pond anymore.
  15. Storm Arashi Square 3 in Rusty Craw, Parrot, and Bluegill
  16. The KVD Splash is more of a walking style popper while the Spit N' Shads do not walk at all.
  17. I caught a nice 3 pounder out of a 1/2 acre pond (No I am not comparing it to my bike I just so happened to get my bike in the background) A nice 4 to 5 pounder out of a 1/4 acre pond ("Im staring straight into the sun") My first Jig fish
  18. 12-14 pound mono would be my choice
  19. I do not know how the profile of the baits compare to each other. What I do know is the Revenge spinnerbait will produce fish almost anywhere. They are great baits and it is good to have multiple brands of spinnerbaits in your box IMO. Just find what works best for you and go with that.
  20. They are ok lures but I would rather have one Rebel Pop-R than two of those because the paint on the Rebel will last longer.
  21. They work, but they do not produce any bigger fish in my experiences. I used to have some and the biggest fish I caught was 3 pounds.
  22. The Abu Garcia Revo-S is one of the best reels I've ever owned. I have it paired w/ a Johnny Morris Carbonlite rod. The entire set up was about $210 and I absolutely love it
