I always took it as watching for signs of fish. Maybe not a bite but signs like you mentioned following the bait or bumping the bait. I just don't know what's good for that lol I just throw what ever I think will catch fish. I haven't learned much about the colors and such to use on certain times of day or weather still doing research like I said I've fished for years but with no real strategy just throwin baits till I catch fish not thinking about color or bait type lol

So those of you who have read my introduction know I'm a college kid witch means I'm low on cash and don't have a boat lol. I have small ponds, one small lake, and a river near by. I'm looking into methods of finding fish. I've bass fished for years but with no real strategy to it. Just casting different baits until I get bit. On different spots around the water I'm fishing. Soy question is what's the best meathod to use to find fish and good search baits. Thanks!

So I posted a topic the other day about a good combo under or around 100 because I'm a broke college kid lol I won't say the persons screen name but they sent me a private message asking were I was and if I was local to him and that he would willing give me a combo... I'm a total stranger and he is willing to give me a combo. Witch totally blows my mind. Second I kindly let him know that I was able to buy a couple combos over the last couple days and that I was thankful for his offer. And he still offered to send me a reel he had laying around. I'm only 19 so I don't know much about "the good ol days" but I know enough that there not many people around that are willing to help like he was! I haven't been on a forum were I wasn't bashed for being the new kid, and was offered something for free from a fellow fisherman and this place is starting to feel more like a family of fisherman than anything else. I'm greatful for the user who offered all this stuff and thought I'd share this with people as there's not many people out there that would be so nice to someone they don't even no! thanks everyone for the inputs i attend a technical college now but soon to transfer to a university and join there bass fishing club!!! as for the pawn shops we only really have one in the nearby area and the prices are out the roof and could buy a knew combo for what they ask. ill for sure take all yalls words and advice into consideration! thanks agin

Been looking for a good combo (baitcaster or spinning) at a cheaper price. I'm a broke college kid and don't have much money to spend on one right now. I use to have a bps extreme on a lews rod that was a hammy down that finally gave up on me the rod had been broke and I just delt with it and the reel has been long last time for replacement. I'd like to possibly get a Spinning combo and baitcaster combo for around 100 bucks but I know that's a long shot. Any insight would be great. Thanks!

Hi yall my names Dj, I'm from West Virginia but lived in Georgia the last five years. 19 years old and been fishing just about most all of it. Just got really into bass fishing the last couple years tho I've done it here and there most my life. Been looking around on here for awhile and seems to be a great group of fishermen!
