  1. Try Fishing World in Hamilton Canada. They ship online as well and have lots of Keitech and Paca craws
  2. I had a savvy 735 and it was no where near dead. I fished 1/2 oz jigs on 10 ft rock piles and could feel every fish pick up my jig. Walleye as well. I have a 736 Champ but its for a different purpose so cant really compare, I also have a savvy 704 and with a Lews tp its unbelievably lite. Senko rod but also subs as a dock lite jig rod for docks. Great set up to roll skip jigs or throw 1/4 oz swim jigs on.
  3. mine on a Dobyns 735.
  4. power pro braid almost exclusively around vegetation.. which is what I mainly fish. No flouro leader either. No problem getting bit. Only flouro is for leaders on drop shot and tubes.
  5. 3/4 oz bullet head jig and Zoom super chunk jr for quick fall in isolated deep milfoil.
  6. Thanks for the feedback . If the 766 isn't much different in weight than my old full cork Crucial flipn stick then I may just keep the old crucial. Maybe take another stab at another 735 savvy for frogn.I liked the rod when I had it but im a bit cautious after breaking two last year.
  7. Good idea, I may do that.
  8. that's what I was thinking too that the 766 may be my best option
  9. 735 wont handle the 3/4 oz even though its a great rod. I was thinking of the 765 but again, im not sure if the tip will be too soft. I don't really want the 805 even though it seems to be the right power but haven't tested it with the heavy jig and trailer. Like I said the 736 is a Beast but the tip loads up too much with a 3/4 oz jig, shirt and trailer.
  10. Sorry,Never heard of either rod. I was hoping to stay with Dobyns if I can.
  11. Here in Canada I absolutely crush smallies on swim jigs. Better bait then a spinner bait in most situations. I cant tell you my skirt color or brand of swim jig but I will say that 1/4 oz is the ticket and a small skinny dipper as a trailer. Only power fishing horizontal bait I need period.
  12. I have a savvy 704, savvy 734 and a 736 champion. I broke two 735 savvy's last year and had to go with the 734 as that's all I could get at the time. Throwing senkos on the 704 and 5/8oz jigs on the 736. I find the 736 too soft in the tip for 3/4oz jigs with zoom trailers. Im looking for a rod that I can throw my 3/4 oz jigs on when fishing isolated milfoil beds in 6 to 9 ft of water. My old Crucial is nice but a bit heavy and my old shoulders get tired after 6 hrs pitching that heavy jig. Was thinking of the 766 Savvy. Any advise, opinions welcomed. Thanks!
