I really like the Lake Fork Live Magic Shad, both regular and boot tail. I usually use the 3.5, but if I'm looking for the big bite I'll use a 4.5in.

I used Spiderwire for a half of a season... never again. That stuff is junk. I haven't used every brand out there, but I can vouch for Power Pro (my on deck hitter). I can definitely vouch for Sunline FX2 (my clean up hitter). These lines are much more durable and manageable. I used my left over Spiderwire to hang Christmas decorations and ornaments during the holidays, so it wasn't a total waste.

From what I've heard, I doubt you can go wrong with their Weekender series. Probably not as durable as the guide series, but it's another option I suppose.

Whatever, still better then full price, but companies doing crap like that bothers me.

Like many have said I usually put it under my knees or under the passenger side council. I have to imagine it would fit in a normal sized compartment. I have the 3710 and it's a pretty good size. The 3600 would definitely fit and easily have enough storage for a day out on the water. A fully loaded 3710 I can barely carry to the boat and back. It's a bit much, but that's just me. I just checked and they're on sale at TW too, bonus!

I have a Plano Guide Series bag and it works great. Very durable and having one exposed box on top gives me a work surface and easier access to the lures I'll potentially need for that day. If you need more than what that thing fits, then you're definitely taking too much gear. Along with the stock 3700 boxes, I'm also able to fit a 3771 and 3740 box inside for terminal tackle. JC

I certainly get what everyone is saying about custom builds, but when someone asks "if money was no object" then my mind goes way outside the box. Probably going to seek out Yuki Ito to build a custom masterpiece. Like commissioning Michelangelo or Miyamoto Musashi in the fishing rod world. Then I would have a few Arms Complete and Superleggeras as backups. Many great 'Joe Blow' builders creating works of art in their basements I'm sure, but if we're going to full on fantasy land, then that's what I got. JC

Flat calm I like a normal frog. Favorites include a Jackall Iobee and Kopper's Live Target. I also purchased a few of the Hollow Body Sunfish and I have high hopes for them and look very forward to catching a lunker on that this year. When there's a little ripple on the water or the vegiation is more sparse I like a popping frog. I throw this a majority of the time. Favorites include a Spro Bronzeye and Snag Proof Ish's Poppin' Fatty. If I had to choose one color to throw all the time it would be black, but I have many colors because I like buying, collecting, and experimenting. I like to keep it simple; black, white, green. Low light conditions, but not exclusively - black. Keep in mind, low light can also be sunny days where I'm throwing a frog along the bank where there are shaded overhangs. Blue bird sky's with clear water - white. Days that are in between or just for the heck of it - green/bluegill/brown/yellow. Hands down my favorite way to fish and the technique I am most passionate about. The only technique specific setup I own is for froggin. Just get a few and start fishing them in productive areas. It's more important that you use them in the right areas and present them in the right way, which for me is a walking the dog or twitch/pause. JC

I store my plastics in the original bags then I organize them by style into 15-20 quart Zip Lock weather proof storage containers. I live by these things. Thus far I have 3; 1 for all style worms/grubs/senkos, 1 for swimbaits/flukes, 1 for craws/creature/tubes. They stay in my garage, put them in the trunk when I go fishing, then take the packs out that I think I need or take the whole container when fishing out of a boat.

Megabass Arms Paraizo

50 lb braid and possibly a 30 lb wire leader. I like making my own leaders for toothy critter applications and stinger trebles.

I use Izorline 12-15 lb for pretty much everything except applications where braid is better suited. That stuff is amazing, cheap, and amazing.

I haven't tried every brand of rod out there, but I recently bought a Megabass Levante Pefect Pitch and it's a beautiful, light, and well balanced rod. Wrappings, guides, and reel seat are all top notch. The EVA handles are also a step above all other EVA I've felt. I have a Poison Adrena and the EVA on the Levante blows it away. And also, just to throw it out there, it is the best looking $200 dollar, non custom rod on the market. JC
