Flat calm I like a normal frog. Favorites include a Jackall Iobee and Kopper's Live Target. I also purchased a few of the Hollow Body Sunfish and I have high hopes for them and look very forward to catching a lunker on that this year. When there's a little ripple on the water or the vegiation is more sparse I like a popping frog. I throw this a majority of the time. Favorites include a Spro Bronzeye and Snag Proof Ish's Poppin' Fatty. If I had to choose one color to throw all the time it would be black, but I have many colors because I like buying, collecting, and experimenting. I like to keep it simple; black, white, green. Low light conditions, but not exclusively - black. Keep in mind, low light can also be sunny days where I'm throwing a frog along the bank where there are shaded overhangs. Blue bird sky's with clear water - white. Days that are in between or just for the heck of it - green/bluegill/brown/yellow. Hands down my favorite way to fish and the technique I am most passionate about. The only technique specific setup I own is for froggin. Just get a few and start fishing them in productive areas. It's more important that you use them in the right areas and present them in the right way, which for me is a walking the dog or twitch/pause.
