Yeah the blue fishing was crazy there for a bit I got most I've mine on sp minnows at night and a few small stripper on them. Yeah I go surf fishing at night I'm down on the beach at least 4times a week if I can. Last night the surf was really rouf 6oz of wait wasn't holding bottom so I put 8oz on and could hold but my 12 foot tica ex heavy rods were getting a work out. Ive spent more time surf fishing this year then bass fishing lol

Hey y'all the weather here in nj is nice out but they are calling for some rain tonight but after working two weeks with out a day off I'm hitting the beach for some night surf fishing with my cuz. I got my truck ready to hit the and got my beach buggy pass and all my rods and tackle ready and firewood so let's see what tonight holds for fishing. Know way I'll never quite getting tattoos at all lol. If this would of happend a year ago I would of went off on that guy but I made a lot of changes in my life so I don't get mad over bs like that anymore I just walk away from people like that . I haven't been out on the lake sence then but that's because I've been down at the beach fishing it hard. Me and my cuz went to the beach at 3am this morning and fished all day till 7 tonight and we did good

Thanks yell for all the info . I called Powell and they are sending me all new guides for the whole rod for free. I was taking to the guy at the shop I get my surf and off shore rods from and he's gonna put the on for me for $25 so Powell took care of me because they said it was new and o my used one time

To me 30lb braid on a bass fishing spinning outfit is overkill I say this because I'm a big salt water Fisher and I use it on my surf reels and on my off shore tuna reels I use 30-100lb braid. But I just got into bass fishing late last year so I really can't say to much as on bass fishing with it but I do use 30lb braid on my baitcasting outfits and on my spinning outfit I use 8lb braid

I'm glad to hear that everyone that has Powell rod doesn't have any problems with them. Went to bass pro today and picked a 3 Veritas 2.0 rods. Was gonna go fishing tonight but went out mudding/bonfire with my friends instead

Tw ship two rods in a heavy duty cardboard tube. But I'm gonna send it out and have it fixed so I can use it again. I'm going to bass pro today and gonna pick up a new rod maybe even two lol

Yes I got the rod new from tackle warehouse and I know there is no warranty on them. I called taclkle warehouse and they told me there's nothing they can do..... So now I'm looking for a repair shop to have it fixed

Well I'm glad to hear your having great luck with your. Maybe mine then was just a bad rod or something . I'm not sure what to do

Hey y'all well today I have off of work and went fishing well I got a new Powell diesel 723 casting rod and on the first cast on this new rod the 3ed guide insert broke and went frying and at the same time the guide bent. So I put the rod down and picked up a different rod and fished. My question is has anyone used the Powell diesel 723 or any of the diesel rods and had the same problem or any other problems?

Sorry for topic I just had to vent about it. And I am amazed that there is still people out there like that I told my wife about it this morning she just said people are gonna hate on you.

Yes that is so right there that's why we all go fishing to relax and have a good time in the outdoors

To me looks and all that has nothing to do with fish at all but I guess to some people out there it dose. For me when people say stuff like that guy did to me and my friend today I just walk away because it's not worth the time or a fight or anything like that

your so right on that on there I honestly don't care what anyone has to say about how I look with my tattoos but its just crazy to me how people are today in this world. But I'm not gonna let it get to me and make me stop fishing . to me just because someone have tattoos do sent mean they are a bad person

Yeah your right a lot of people can out fish me I just got into bass fishing last year but that's fine with me I'm having fun fishing. And yeah it didn't make me mad I just upset me that people in this day of age do stuff like that anymore. I felt like I was back in middle/high school again lol

Hey yell well my friend and I went out fishing today and had a blast trying out my boat but the people at the ramp saw that I have a lot of tattoos and my arms and so on and they said to me I didn't know people with tattoos like to fish I was like really now like what's having tattoos haft to do with fishing. Then the guy standing in his boat said to me you look sicking with all them tattoos and should not be alound to fish so I trued around and then said thanks. Like I just don't get how having tattoos makes me a bad person or anything like that all my tattoos have a Meaning behind them . I just don't know I work hard to take care of my family and I never knew bass fisher man couldn't have tattoos like them people really got to me I told my friend this makes me wanna quit fishing.....

Thank you for the input and I will look into them jigs . okay cool I wasn't sure if my setups were good or not lol . I'm not really sure what to use tho my setups for? I'm looking into adding a spinning setup soon. What would be a good starting point?

Hello y'all I'm new here and this is my first post on here. I've been reading all the post on here and a lot of it has helped me out a lot. Well I'm new somewhat new to bass fishing I started bass fishing late last year with a friend of mine I'm a big salt water Fisher man and catfisher man. So I have a few questions for y'all. Okay my first question is are the power team lures jigs any good? And my 2ed question is on rods and reels okay so my friend helped me get what he said are two good setups but I'm not sure so what do y'all think of my 1st setup its a Powell diesel 723 mh ex-fast 7'2 with a quantum burner 7.0.1 reel with 30 lb power pro . is this a good setup? For jigs and worms? And my 2ed rod is Abu Garcia vengeance 6'6 medium 1/4-5/8 lure and 8-17lb line and the reel is a bass pro pro qualifier 4.7.1 with 12lb mono I m not sure what to use this setup for. Any help and info with them jigs and rods would be great thanks and have a great day yall
