Jhoffman I see you fish a bb1 pro. I just got one is it normal for the reel without line to have some chatter? No gears grind just it sounds like the spool has chatter I've tighten the brakes and still hear it. When spooled it casts and fishes fine. My tourny pro is silky smooth with or without line. Normal or not

Well thats good about the no grooving guides with braid. Going to get one, What ive learned is all of these light weight graphite rods from every company will break if they are not treated very good. Have broke several, and want to blame the manufactures but its more than likely nicking the blank and not realizing it. On these ducketts is it true that a meduim heavy fishes like a medium, heavy like a meduim heavy etc etc

Not good to hear was going to be picking one up in the morning, have heard they are very sensitive, my only concern was with the guides and grooving with braided line frog fishing. No forum really gives a definite answer.

Brand new BB1 has a slight chatter when not spooled no grinding just almost like the spool has alot of play in it. Just not silky smooth. When lined it sounds fine casting/retrieving is this normal for the bb1 pro. My tourny pro is smooth as silk with or without line. Just trying make sure this is normal as I do not want to send it back only for it to be the same thing.
