I prefer the Lfs. Plenty small enough and really comfortable. Going to get Lfs tournament pro in May for my birthday.Never buy a reel with a graphite frame.
That sucks! I had a Falcon buccoo micro that was 7 years out of warranty. I contacted Falcon and told them it was out of warranty and asked if they could fix it. They sent me a brand new rod all I had to pay was shipping.
I eat approx 5 a year. I keep them between 12 and 17 inches. Any bigger and they don't taste as good. In the 50 years I've been fishing I've only had one that had parasites.
IMHO Lew's by far.The price is way less and the performance is better. They make enough different models and gear ratios to fit anyone's needs. My personal favorite is the Tournament Pro LFS.
A lot of rods in the 200$ to 300$ range are now being made with cheap aluminum oxide guides. They may wear with braid. The St.Croix Avid X is one of them.
Johnny Morris Patriot series. Best bang for $200 out there.
Show me another rod in this range with Fuji sic guides. You can't.They are also extremely light and well balanced and sensitive.
I never use leaders so I use Fuji micro guides exclusively. I think they cast further. They are definitely lighter. And I think they make the rod more sensitive. If you use leaders they could be a problem.
I fish 12 inch worms with 3-8 tungsten weights through thick weeds all the time. Like Francho said it's a slow process with a lot of touchy feely going on. It takes patience but it sure does catch some decent bass.
Just finished watching live stream of the Kissimmee chain event. Congrats to Jordan Lee. Congrats to all the pros for making it exciting. I like the way they weigh and release the fish. Think I'm going to keep on watching this. I find it way more exciting than BASS or FLW.
