  2. They don't spawn until it hits the 60s for water temp.
  3. You must be talking about the tournament mb and not the pro. In that case what these guys said applied.

  5. What year tournament pro is it ? The new one is externally adjustable as was the pro g that the tournament replaced. Did you buy it new ? If so it should have instructions.

  7. I've used all 3. Sufix 832 is the best out if them but they are all good braids with different qualities.
  8. I fish cranks and spinnerbaits with 6.8 Lew's Lfs . Rest are 7.5 reels Lew's Lfs. Debating getting an 8.3 for flipping stick..
  9. Call diawa and find out if they have thinner washers. If they don't then ask them what to do.
  10. Reel came today along with zman mag fatty z worms and sufix ,832 braid. Oiled the reel put it on my Johnny Morris Patriot rod and started casting. Awesome reel. Great service from Sportsman's Outfitters.
  11. Got notice it will be here Wednesday. Bass Pro order placed same night is supposed to come Wednesday also. Not bad for free shipping.
  12. A while back I had asked you guys. If anybody had purchased a product from Sportsman's Outfitters. I had never heard of them and wanted to know if they were legit. Some of you replied back that they are. So I decided to buy a Lew's Tournament Pro from them. I ordered it Sunday night.Shipping is free over $50. I got a confirmation email last night and a text that it's been shipped via UPS. Shipping tracking is texted to me. They seem very professional. Thanks to you guys for being a good source of information. I can't wait to get the reel.
  13. If ur gonna spend $200 get a Johnny Morris Patriot rod. Can't be beat IMHO in this price point.
  14. It depends. Some guys like the thrill. Some are weekend tournament fishermen and are in competition. Some like you are happy going 40 and feel safer. Nothing wrong with how you feel. I fish out of a rowboat so I get it.ive been on my friends bassboats and I wish I could afford it. Enjoy what you purchased and smile when you catch fish. That's all that matters .
  15. Probably a carp towing the boat.
  16. I've fished tons of different mono lines in 50 years. The minute you fish advance you can tell it's totally different. It's not even close. Hook into a big heavy tree limb and pull on it. You immediately notice you don't stretch anywhere near as much as any mono I've used. I'm not saying it doesn't stretch but it's far less. Have I done a test with 50 different lines and measured it ? No I have not. IMHO I don't need to. Sensitivity is also much better.
  17. Bow in the line bass nothing to do with it if you take out the slack. All mono and fluro stretch on hooksets. On a long cast this can add up to a lot of stretch. On a hard hookset you could get 5-6 feet of stretch.
  18. Please do ask and post it in a separate post . Thank you. I'd buy Lew's over any other reel.
  19. Have no problem with a Palomar knot. I have pulled trees out of the water with 14 lb test. Advance has the least stretch by far of any mono line.
  20. If the waters clear they will come up from 15 or 20 feet sometimes and hit them .
  21. smallies also hit jigging spoons and jerk baits.
  22. Chartreuse senko in the spring drives smallies nuts.
  23. I would never buy any reel from any company that had a composite frame of any type.
  24. I have to agree with the 99$ Lfs.
