  1. Bought a Lews Tournament Pro from them. Excellent packaging price and shipping time. Will Definately by more from them.i do wish their website was set up better.
  2. If you fish in weeds a green marker helps it blend.black fades to grey which blends also. I think faded line stands out worse as I can see it better. I do it more for the pleasure of not looking at faded line.dont really feel the fish care.
  3. Sufix 832 is awesome. Tuff line domin8 is also. All braid fades. That why they make permanent markers.
  4. It's cool that Glenn and this site are open minded about eating one sometimes.
  5. Bbq with hot sauce. Bbq with basil sauce. Don't eat fish from murky ponds. Clearwater fish taste better.only keep 12 to 18 inch fish. Fillet them it's easy.Theow big fish back. I eat like 3 a year.
  6. Bass Pro Shops Johnny Morris Patriot series
  7. Backlash midway means either more thumb or spool tension. Do you cast with the handle up ? If not turn reel 90 degrees and cast.
  8. I learned Ned rigs catch big fish.
  9. But it can be done.
  10. What he said. Centrifugal come on at the front of the cast then back off. There is a point of no return where casting harder nets you no gain and will cut your gains in the form of backlash.my best casts are achieved without trying to bomb it.
  11. Will the carbon drag from the tournament pro fit the first gen. LFS reels? How much r the parts approx. I have 3 LFS I might want to convert.
  12. Totally agree this is what happens.Wait until you feel weight.
  13. I'd call lews and find out if the carbon fiber tournament pro drag will fit in your reel.
  14. Send it back to kastking for warranty replacement.
  15. Definately agree the type of boat and technique will make a difference if you're shorter than most ..Bottom line is wear shoes that fit and fish with what fits you. Don't fight your equipment.
  16. Gotta disagree guys. If you fish from a boat that's not flat like a Bass boat and you're short , pitching can be harder with a longer rod.Any other technique I don't think it would matter.
  17. It depends on whose rod it is. I fish a Bass pro Patriot rod 7ft medium fast for exactly what you want to fish it for and love it. I also fish it in weeds. Still has enough backbone to do what I need. Fish 1/5 oz Ned rig on it.
  18. I've been using braid since the early 1990s. I've never had it break on a cast. Also never seen braid weakened from a backlash.its also the easiest to unbacklash.
  19. I used to get line dig in on anything less than 50 lb. Changed my brand of reel to Lews and now I get it done with 20 lb. Can't explain it except that is must wind on at a different crisscross rate.
  20. Personally I feel 4 carrier braid is outdated. I have no problems in weeds with 8 carrier. The benefits to 8 carrier far outweigh anything 4 carrier has going for it.suffix 832 is my braid of choice followed by tuff line domin8.
  21. Get your high vis and just permanent marker the last 10 feet black. You're good to go.
