  1. to the op i would get the bb1 pro unless you want the 5 to 1 gears. has a more user friendly braking system.
  2. Is it a toray blank? I've had 3 rods with them that snapped easy. I will never buy one again.
  3. Easy for me because I only use Baitcasting. I would go with 14 lb Sufix advance mono.
  4. Good move. Graphite / composite frames suck.
  5. Try Sufix Advance Mono. It's the lowest stretch mono avaliable. It's awesome line.
  6. I would switch to Lews tournament pro. $139 at Sportsmans Outfitters You'll never go back.
  7. 1992 Shimano castiac. Nice reel at the time.
  8. Yeah. Mine makes a very slight sound. If you watch a lot of fishing videos a lot of reels make some sounds casting. I don't understand why people think machines are totally noiseless. I work as an automotive technician and people complain about normal operational sounds all the time.
  9. what he said.put a drop on bearings also.. it has 27 position externally adjustable centrifugal brake.some noice is normal.
  10. Graphite frames are junk. Under heavy load they twist. I had one snap at the neck years ago using braid on a tight drag.
  11. Falcon bucoo . Awesome rod for the price. Falcon customer service is awesome. Lews lfs baitcast
  12. After using braid for 30 years and mixing in advance the past 2 years in going all Sufix Advance this year.
  13. For 149$ you can buy a Johnny Morris Signature series. Sometimes they go on sale. Has Fuji alconite guides. Has a 10 year warranty. You're not getting a better rod for the money.
  14. Thank God !!! Thanks Glenn !!!! I will keep praying.
  15. i hear he has 2 small tumors.
  16. If I had multiple issues with a brand I'd be done.
  17. Then why would you keep buying those brands?
  18. Lube reels. Replace line.
  19. If the backlash is in the beginning turn on more pins. If it's in the middle of the cast more magnets on the dial or more thumb. I run the tension loose.
  20. That's why they have warranties.
