  1. Never go below 50 lb. I use Sufix 832.
  2. Why doesn't one of the Diawa fanboys call them and ask ?As Lews guy I say over.
  3. Why would you use a moderate rod for jigs ? I would fish crankbaits on it.
  4. or you could try sufix advance mono which is low stretch and less visible than braid.
  5. I may go for the 1st time next Saturday depending on the weather.
  6. I rub my hands in smelly jelly crawfish scent.then wash it off and dry them. The smell of crawfish lingers and covers anything else.
  7. You need 8lb invizx or tatsu by seaguar. I would never use a reel smaller than a 4000 size spinning. Look at KVD he uses 4000 size spinners for easier line management. I would take his suggestion as he is the absolute best ever. The bigger spool produces less line twist. That said I hate flourocarbon and refuse to use it for those reasons you mention. I tried a bunch of times to like it but give up every time. This season I'm fishing Sufix Advance Mono. I don't use spinning anymore because Baitcasting has less line issues once you learn how to use it.i use 8 lb mono on a 7ft medium action rod for finesse.
  8. the mach crush has a 4 pin centrifugal brake and a magnetic brake. the dial for the magnetic brake should click. backlash at the start of a cast requires more centrifugal brake. backlash during a cast requires more magnetic brake. a trained thumb helps.
  9. Not according to the falcon website. As far as I know they made their own blanks.
  10. falcon cara still made in usa. bps patriot made in usa.i have 2 made in USA Falcon bucoo rods .
  11. Braid is easier to remove a backlash.its gets less backlashes.
  12. His vis and color the end black with a marker.
  13. If the bite feels like a machine gun it's panfish. A single thump is a bass. A 5 inch senko should have a 3.0 or 4.0 ewg hook.
  14. Lews tournament pro $139 at sportsmans outfitters
  15. depends on the tip.i throw 1/5 oz ned rigs on a medium bass pro shop patriot baitcaster rod. it throws them fine. i would go with the 1/8 to 1/2 as long as the tip is soft enough.
  16. They rate those by pound test. I'm guessing 26 lb. I use the smallest I can get.
  17. the 3rd one is close to what i use. i use vmc crankbait snaps which are similar.
