  2. did you try smelly jelly?thats where i like to use scent.
  3. Dial on handle side is spool tension. Set so lure drops slow with rod straight out. Turn clockwise for more soil tension. Dial on other side is magnetic brake. 0 is no brakes. Set at 10 or Max and slowly back off. Learn to loose your thumb. Watch videos on how to cast without backlash.
  4. totally disagree with this. braid is easier to remove it from. and it doesnt damage the line. that said im using mono this year.
  5. I've debated that issue for years. Personally I hate flouro. I love braid I fished straight braid for years. I would switch to flouro sometimes but give it up. I'm not a leader guy because I hate the knot going through my guides. Right now I'm using Sufix Advantage mono for lower visibility than braid. That said I don't care what line you have you need to find fish that will bite. I've seen the same thing happen with straight flouro. You either need to find active fish or switch presentations. And remember even pros get skunked.
  6. Thats why Delaware Valley tackle exists.
  7. I want to hold it first.also wait and let others try it and review it.
  8. Glad to hear you are liking that reel. I wouldn't buy any non aluminum frame reel.
  9. Larger handle gives you more turning torque helping to make turning the crank easier with the higher gear ratio with a load on it like a 5lb bass. Yes.
  10. I say yes but put a 95 mm handle on the reel..
  11. Try Sufix Advance Mono. It is very low stretch and very sensitive. It is a COPOLYMER and it absorbs less water. Yes I have fished flouro on and off for years. I generally like the sensitivity but hate the handling and the cost.
  12. watch the video. the abrasion resistance myth is debunked.
  13. john watch the video they talk about all kinds of things and testing they did.
  14. We already know flouro doesnt stretch less. heres and interesting video that says you might be wasting your money.
  15. As the oil flows out of the bearings it will become nessacary to use more brakes or thumb.
  16. Walleye rule !!!! Yummy!!!!
  17. I'm a Chrysler Master technician for over 30 years. I've worked on cars for 42 years. I could tell you some stories. Most people should not be touching mechanical things !!!.
  18. ok so leave tension loose and adjust centrifugal for beginning fluff and magnets for middle of cast. centrifugal backs down as spool slows.or trade it for a tournament pro with externally adjustable brakes.
  19. people actually do these things? some people should just pay to get things serviced.
  20. its easy. if you fluff up at the beginning of the cast you need more centrifugal brake. if you fluff up in the middle turn up the magnets. set the spool tension so the lure drops slowly with rod straight out.loosen spool tension when your thumb gets educated.
  21. Lews Tournament Pro at sportsmans outfitters 139 $
