  1. sportsmans outfitters
  2. i fish 8lb sufix advance mono. no reason you couldnt fish 8 lb flouro of your choice on a baitcaster.
  3. i dont fish spinning but when i did i had 1 finger in front of the stem. that would put my thumb on the exposed blank and the rest of my fingers on the wingrip. kinda like holding a baitcaster when casting.
  4. Return it if you don't like it.
  5. a 4000 series reel would cast further. try fireline it casts furthur than any line i know of on spinning.
  6. 4.0 ewg gamakatsu with Sufix advance mono.
  7. I have a 7-6 Johnny Morris Signature Series heavy /extra fast. It casts frogs and jigs ok. It's more sensitive than heavy fast. Yours is mh/extra fast so it should cast better than my flipping stick. I only own the one heavy exfast but my impression is it's better suited to worms / jigs. My other rods are moderate fast and fast action.
  8. Smelly Jelly in crawfish scent is the best.
  9. That's a good sized bass !!!
  10. Why would you do this when you can get the MP for a dollar less ?
  11. either the lfs or a lews tournament mp from sportsmans outfitters in 8.3 to 1 at 119$. the mp also has a carbon fiber drag. weighs 6.9 oz.
  12. You guys should get together and fish it.
  13. Gotcha
  14. Thanks
  15. How do you fish it ?
  16. 5 bucks a bag. Bought 7 bags. The what ? Please explain.
  17. I just bought a bunch of these from a yard sale near me. They get great reviews on bass pro shops. Guys seem to fish them all different ways from weightless to football jigs. So let's hear from the guys who use this bait. How do you like it ? How do you rig it? Thanks in advance !!!
  18. I'd try to get the early active bite then switch later.
  19. so far this year a wacky rig 5 inch senko on a 7 ft. BPS PATRIOT ROD medium action fast with 8lb test green sufix advance mon0 with a Lews tournament pro 7.5 /1 baitcaster or a 1/10 oz ned rig with a trd on a 6-6 Patriot with same action and rating and line and reel. that will change as the summer progresses.
  20. the ones i own are medium. they seem to be what i would exspect out of a medium fast. they flex a lot on big fish but have plenty of backbone. i can fish 8 lb test with confidence on them and they flex enough so it doesnt tear holes in the fishes mouth. mine are both baitcast. ive never owned a carbonlite so i cant compare the feel. in the store the carbonlites felt nice and balanced and light. then i picked up the Patriot series and wow what a difference. ive owned pro qualifiers from years ago and signature series also. they were different blanks. i have also owned bionic blades over the years. IMHO the patriot is far lighter and better balanced than a lot of rods. i love the ones i have. they are made in America so i feel good about that too. i just dont see how you go wrong for the price with a ten year warranty.
  21. No. They are in short supply like everything else at bass pro and Cabelas. Have you been in one lately? Stock is low in both in Conn. Since this Covid garbage started.
  22. Fish may not also show on sonar. If they hide under rocks and hug the bottom they won't show up. I catch fish all the time where this happens.
  23. I wish they were still in business. Those were some of the best crankbait made.
