  1. 4lb braid on a baitcaster are we kidding ? Why ?That's just asking for line dig in. Why not straight 6lb mono or flouro?
  2. And in my humble opinion Sufix Advance Mono is the world's best COPOLYMER Monofiliament line made. Monofilament means one filament. In other words it's not a multistrand line. It can be regular MONO , COPOLYMER or flourocarbon. Yes guys flouro is a monofilament line. We just never call it that.
  3. Yes and yes
  4. Why would they do more ? They did right by you. Send it back again.
  5. The reel is awesome. Just bought one to use pitching next year.
  6. I fished braid for 30 years and never had a Palomar fail. I do glue the tag so it doesn't fray.
  7. Lews Custom lite.
  8. I just took my new lefty Lews Custom lite out in the back yard to try it out pitching. It's amazing. The reel weighs nothing. The spool is so light it makes pitching effortless. Casts are also further than my tournament pro . I like the lefty crank for pitching so I don't have to switch hands. You can fire off pitch after pitch.
  9. I just Bought a Lews Custom lite from Sportsmans Outfitters for 199$ . I love my tournament pro but the custom lite is lighter and casts even further because the spool is lighter.
  10. Tournament Pro LFS from sportsmans outfitters for $129.
  11. I do this to my daughter all the time.
  12. Mounted it on a rod tonight. Put line on. Will try it out pitching in the yard tommorow.Didnt feel bad reeling line on.
  13. I ordered a lefty by accident. I'm thinking of keeping it and using it for pitching and flipping. The only thing I don't know is if I can get used to reeling lefty. When I tried my friends it felt weird. I have no problem reeling a spinning reel lefty but baitcast feels weird.i do like the idea of being instantly ready to hammer a fish after a pitch.
  14. Does anybody use both ? Are there advantages to using both ? I was thinking of pitching with a lefty.
  15. Ok it played this time. I guess Shimano and Diawa have completely different gear philosophy. I like the way they make the magnets act like a centrifugal brake.
  16. I cast a Ned rig 1/10 oz. With a Lews Tournament Pro on a 6-6 medium BPS Patriot Rod on 8lb Sufix Advance Mono with no problem. You need a good reel.i just ordered the Lew's Custom Lite which has an even lighter spool so it should cast even further.
  17. Guess its not invisible
  18. Just ordered a Lews Custom Lite from Sportsmans Outfitters with gift certificates i got for Christmas. At 4.9 oz. Its really lite. I know I have preached against carbon frames but this Tanso Tech stuff is supposed to be awesome. All the reviews I've seen have been great. Its going on a BPS 6ft 6in medium fast Patriot rod. This is an extremely ight combo. I use it for Ned rigs. Can't wait to get out on the water for it next year and write a review.
  19. I love Sufix Advance Mono. Its extremely low stretch and sensitive. Great abrasion resistance also.
  20. 6 or 8 lb Sufix Advance Mono.Super low stretch and handles better than flourocarbon.
  21. A Lews MP at Sportsmans outfitters for $120 cannot be beat.
  22. Sounds like a good jerkbait and lipless rod.
