  1. Falcon bucoo with a Abu mgs floats by itself. I haven't had the pleasure of seeing if my led custom lite on a bps Patriot floats but I think it would since its lighter.
  2. IMHO they Definately help a little with distance. I don't use leaders.i also feel they help with sensitivity.
  3. Same here. I have had 50 to 120 fish days but that's a rarity over the 54 years I've been fishing.
  4. Totally agree on tip light.
  5. If you don't want it I'll take a donation !!! Sobwe didn't notice it was loose and get Lews to fix it ?
  6. Lews tournament pro on a 6-6 to 7 ft. Mh fast action rod. I use bass pro Patriot rods but there are lots of fine rods out there. If you could spend more I'd get a Lews Custom Lite at Sportsmans outfitters for 209.
  7. You need a Lews Custom Lite .I never use spinning anymore. I gave my last one to my daughter. I just bought a Custom Lite because of its 4.9 oz. weight and light spool for finesse. Combined with a light rod you'll have a setup that weighs less than spinning and casts great with no line twist.
  8. Ive fished the Ned super slow / deadsticked with good success.
  9. Has anybody used a Ned under a Drop Shot ? I would think this would work well. I have caught many fish on the Ned but only one on the drop shot. Fishing the Ned underneath it would give me enough confidence to not just give up on the drop shot.
  10. Guess I missed that line. Still a nice fish.
  11. Every Lews reel I own has been fantastic at its price point. Easily compare with reels costing double.
  12. Good fish. You should try to keep them off the ground so the slime coat stays intact. Did you weigh it ? How long is it ? Looks to be around 24 inches which makes it around 8 lbs. If the front of your reel is approx 17 inches that's a big girl.
  13. You might have to downsize photo
  14. Sufix Advance Green only.
  15. Lets assume you both have totally identical setups. You use the same exact line but his is 8 and yours is 12. Same exact lure. His will run slightly deeper on same length cast. This may or may not cause him to catch more fish than you. The thicker line would be better over weeds. The thicker line is also more visible.now you know why pros have so many setups.
  16. I agree with a lot of what you jsay but this is not one point I agree with.when flipping with 65lb braid in heavy weeds I lock my drag down right and have had fish pull drags that were set around 11lbs. I now have 20 lb drags and lock them down under the same circumstances to haul fish out of heavy cover.i use a Johnny Morris 7-6 extra fast heavy rod and it takes the pressure with no problem.
  17. It will have friends in the first week of fishing.
  18. Bring a reel with line on it. Put it on the rod. Have someone hold the line and pretend to be a fish. You'll get a good idea of the power and action that way.
  19. As far as I know there is no flourocarbon in Advance. There is dyneema in it.
  20. lews custom lite 199 at sportsmans outfitters. almost impossible to backlash. i would not use braid that thin on a baitcaster. go with mono or flouro. btw the reel weighs 4.9 oz.
  21. Lews tournament pro or the custom lite at 4.9 oz for 199$ at Sportsmans Outfitters.
  22. No but until Sufix Advance came along no mono had near as little stretch as Advance does. Being that I mostly used braid for 30 years with other lines mixed in including a bunch of mono and flouro it took until now to find one with so little stretch.
