  1. Don't know about that. Blue holds bolts pretty tight. It probably is missing an o ring. Besides the fact when you turn the knob dried particles of loctite will flake off the threads eventually and go in your reel.
  2. If you add loctite how are you going to adjust it ?
  3. Drag star has nothing to do with spool tension. Cast control knob does that.
  4. Drag has nothing to do with backlashes.
  5. Something is not installed right. Send it to Delaware Valley tackle or Lews service.
  6. Try the Advance .Super low stretch.
  7. I use a Johnny Morris Signature series 7-6 heavy extra fast. I love it. It gets fish out of cover really well.
  8. 50 lb Sufix 832 on mh. 12 lb Sufix advance mono on the other rod.
  9. Balance is number 1. Then a light reel and a light rod at the same time. I used to use balance weights on my rods but once I got a light rod that was balanced that went out the window
  10. Any of the BPS Johnny Morris rods.
  11. Sufix Advance Mono. Super low stretch.
  12. Lews tournament pro is a great all purpose reel. It throws small baits and big ones with no problem. The 27 point brake is the best I've ever used.. Buy it from sportsmans outfitters at 159 I think. You won't regret it.
  13. Seen it on graphite body reels.
  14. 30 years fishing switching braid to mono to flouro and back and I still find it hard to believe it matters.
  15. IMHO the best brakes ever are Lews 27 point externally adjustable centrifugal brakes.. Almost impossible to backlash. I set mine really loose but if you set them like most videos say to you won't backlash.
  16. Sufix 832 will solve your problems. Tie a Palomar knot and your good to go. Crazy glue your knot and it will never slip.
  17. And the economy would crash.
  18. Braid diameters are almost never what they claim. Braid is softer also. I never get anywhere near what they claim on a spool.
  19. Just got back from 2 hours at a pond with Sufix Advance Flouro..line behaves and casts well. Didn't catch anything so I may add more to this tommorrow. Line didn't coil up coming off the spool. I don't use any line spray.line seemed very sensitive bumping around the bottom.
  20. I second that emotion. If your using 30 lb or higher and wrap it around a dowel you can usually rip it out and only straighten your hooks.
  21. A Lews Custom lite at Sportsmans outfitters for 209. It weighs 4.9 oz.
