Don't know about that. Blue holds bolts pretty tight.It probably is missing an o ring. Besides the fact when you turn the knob dried particles of loctite will flake off the threads eventually and go in your reel.
Balance is number 1. Then a light reel and a light rod at the same time. I used to use balance weights on my rods but once I got a light rod that was balanced that went out the window
Lews tournament pro is a great all purpose reel. It throws small baits and big ones with no problem. The 27 point brake is the best I've ever used.. Buy it from sportsmans outfitters at 159 I think. You won't regret it.
IMHO the best brakes ever are Lews 27 point externally adjustable centrifugal brakes.. Almost impossible to backlash. I set mine really loose but if you set them like most videos say to you won't backlash.
Just got back from 2 hours at a pond with Sufix Advance Flouro..line behaves and casts well. Didn't catch anything so I may add more to this tommorrow. Line didn't coil up coming off the spool. I don't use any line spray.line seemed very sensitive bumping around the bottom.
