  1. That was one of the selling points years ago
  2. Power pro 4 strand has a coating unless they changed it.
  3. Original PP so outdated. 832 is a good line I've used for years. I've switched to Vicious No Fade Braid and find it to be superior to any other braid I've used since the 1990s.
  4. I use braid all the time. Never pull hooks use softer rods and loosen drag.
  5. If he's in back and ur in front u will catch more if your presentation is better than his u will catch more. Get him Vicious No Fade Braid then his line won't change color.
  6. Great reels. They make a carbon handle with combat grips
  7. Ever think maybe u just had a bad day ? I suggest a net also.
  8. I know the feeling. I have a bad knee and numb feet.
  9. I use nothing but baitcast.
  10. Now I'll tell you how I do it. I fish it on a 1/5 oz. Zman shrooms head jig tied to 50 lb test Vicious No Fade Braid with no leader .the reel is a Lews custom lite baitcast. The rod is a dobyns Sierra micro guide 7-3 mh casting rod. I catch plenty of smallies and largies this way and 4 lbers too.
  11. senko on outside weed edge or a yamatanuki. jerkbaits and spinnerbaits are good depending on their mood. deep cranks parallel to weeds are go especially with rock on outside edges.
  12. Absolutely correct. Plus you don't need a massive hook set.
  13. I haven't seen anything catalog wise.Allstar was a staple in my equipment at one point.
  14. Didnt know that. Do they make rods comparable to what they were ? Do they compete well with today's top brands . I'd love to c them come back.
  15. U da man!!!! Wow !!!!
  16. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/lews-custom-xp-baitcast-combo I'd save up for this. 7 ft is the longest I get for on shore. If you catch your lure on a backcast your in for a mess.
  17. 5 something
  18. So if ur not getting bites on the straight braid does the leader make a difference with the same bait ?
