no,we are talking baitcasters.i wouldn't buy that one either.ithas a graphite frame.i wouldnever buy any reel by anybody with a graphite frame.the medalist or supreme are pfluegers good spinning reels.they have metal frames.graphite flexs, twists and breaks causing gear mis alignment and other failures.
i've seen bass hit topwater with water in the 90 degree range.yes,a lot of times they go deeper but not always.lipless cranks or zara spooks can produce some big bass in the summer.
i have posted numerous links on what happens to the color red underwater in the past.underwater photographers can tell you what happens.they have filters to help red show up in underwater photography.it turns grey as does everything the deeper you go.eventually all colrs grey out underwater if you go deep enough.this makes it camoflauged which is why it is hard to see.it is indisputable science that it does work.water clarity also has an effect on how fast it works.like i said before, all you guys who say it feels like wire have used RED LIGHTNING AND NOT RED CAST.red lightning is a saltwater trolling line and is not good for freshwater casting and spinning.
all you guys who used cajun line and had handling issues are using CAJUN RED LIGHNING AND NOT CAJUN RED CAST!!!CAJUN RED CAST imho is the best mono made.red does turn greyish/black as it goes down.reasearch this on the net before you comment.the deeper you go the more colors grey out.the line doesn't dissapear it blends in.it works in all but the clearest water.i had my best season ever using cajun red cast and caught more fish than i ever did.this year i am trying flouro.even flouro doesn't totally dissapear.as far as mono goes cajun red cast is a great line.
yet another slow fishing night on titicus reservoir in north salem ny on 6-29-07.we managed 4 fish in the boat with numerous misses between the 2 of us.the best was a humungous fish that blew up on my buzzbait right at the boat and scared the crap out of us.another night of the italian pattern with crankbaits down deep catching 2 of the fish.spinnerbaits recieved a bunchof lame short strikes that wouldn't hook up even with trailer hooks.we must have missed 20 fish.
petes 3 lb 0 oz lunker of the night
on my baitcasters i was able to lessen the brakes after soaking the line in kvd spray.i tie the line to a post and back the whole spoll off by walking backwards and spray it as i reel it back on.it works great!!!!
you should have put the spool in HOT water before spooling it on.secondly you should get some kvd line and lure spray.it DEFINATELY HELPS!!!i am using 10 pound on a 4000 size spinning reel with no problems.
it doesn't matter if i'm at work or home sometimes this site just won't work.it takes forever to load things after you click on the links.i know it's not my computer or my work computer and it happens constantly.it's a shame because this is one of the best fishing sites around.there has to be some way to fix it.
