  1. i actually changed in the beginning of the year and didn't tell anybody.my fish per outing has gone up but only by like 2 fish per outing.i have not gotten skunked with flouro.having used flouro now for.5 months i put mono back on 2 rods for topwater and cranks.i may get another rod and put braid on that for heavy grass only.flouro definately has a place.seguar invizx makes flouro tolerable for those of us who hated flouro.it is absolutely the most abrasion resistant line i have ever seen over rocks.
  2. i have 1 that's a 5-6 medium action and i am going to get another.for accuracy they can't be beat.
  3. i have to agree with you guys.invizx rocks.i am not using it for topwater or cranks.i went back to cajun red cast mono for those applications.the extra stretch is good for cranks and the fact that mono floats makes topwaters work better.everything else is invizx.
  4. for what you paid it's a decent reel.i'm not knocking it.i'm a pflueger fan big time.i just will not buy a reel without a metal frame.considering gears and bearings have tolerances in the .001's of an inch a 1/4 inch is a lot of flex.i have also had necks break on graphite reels fighting fish in weeds.for finesse fishing in light cover it would be fine.
  5. mount it on the rod.grab the reel by it's body and twist.if it moves at all it's graphite.
  6. it was never rated as a saltwater reel.
  7. it has a graphite frame = flex.the medalist is aluminum = no flex = superior.
  8. 1 )yes, but i never found it to be a problem.any color mono is visible to fish in clear shallow water. 2) not that i know of 3)try shakespeare supreme in the limp formula (same company)
  9. 3lbs. 4 oz. is average on my lake.
  10. i've gotten out some real horrendous birdnests that way.
  11. your a light line guy so maybe 12.i use 15 and 20.i'm going to put sufix braid back on one heavy action rod that has 20.the other will get respooled with 15.i plan on buying another baitcaster and putting 10 on it.
  12. ROFLMAO!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
  13. this is right on.it works on %99 of all backlashes.
  14. they named it vanish because that's what the fish on the end of it does!!! ;D
  15. i for the life of me can't understand why some flouro is colored.doesn't that ruin the whole light refraction thing?all i know is i can't see clear flouro when it enters the water.no line is completey invisible either.i would think in clear water the green tint wouldn't help.but then again what do i know? ;D
  16. if you like vanish the invizx will make you think you died and went to heaven.
  17. those are some real nice fish!!!
  18. titcus 8-17-07 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- pete and i fished from 6 to 9 in between thunderstorms last night on titicus.at first the night was unproductive.we fished weedbeds with eveything we had but only produced 1 chugbug fish for pete.i then decided to go and fish crankbaits.this proved to be a great decision as we wound up with 10 fish in the boat and a few quick releases at the side of the boat.a rare but welcomed smallie showed up on my crank last night.he fought like a fish that was on roids.this fish went absolutely beserk.we decided to cut the night short as we saw lightening in the southern sky. pete's chug bug bass
  19. that depends who ties it.i tie a palomar with seguar invizx and cinch it down in my mouth so it is real wet.i have not had a single knot failure using this combo.
  20. for the money it's a great buy.i have a 5-6 pistol grip i love.
  21. seguar invizx flourocarbon.
